Call me a hipster or whatever you want but sometimes I prefer any of unreleased Lana's songs over some mainstream trash. 

The UV Cover looks so bad on paper. it looks like a lofi fan edit/bootleg and i won't even start with the poorly designed inlay/booklet. Idk if it's just the german version but u can barely see her eyes or any details because it's so dark and the paper quality is super cheap compared to the other lana cds i have.
 
the best version is probably the us itunes one because the font is smaller than usual but it's still the worst lana cover.

I'mma let you finish but Born To Die had the best album cover of all time and that is the standard she has to live up to...

I actually kind of wrecked this already-- I tried to do some watercolor, and it was an actual disaster. 
Still gonna try to salvage it, tho!! I also wanna finish the inking, cos it's mostly still pencil rn.

Calm down I don't really know  much about Selena but I'm sure she announced a date for her official single and then Interscope released on itunes, apple music, spotify and so on. She also did some radio interviews in support of her single and posted some previews of the clip even before the announcement of her new album.   While Lana just created an instagram account for her new album, posted a song all of sudden on her private account and then didn't say a word about it. It's really different, don't you see? At least with WC she premiered on BBCRADIO1, it was an official first single and you could actually buy it or listen on spotify,  at the end it was a more traditional release. While everything about HM release is confusing.

Actually, besides the song Honeymoon of which we don't know if it is the first single or not, we don't have any confirmation about any dates, neither single nor album. And that she has two videos: well, great! I hope we see the PWYC video one day. 

yes and her single is out for like 4 weeks and her album is coming on oct, 9th. she has a confirmed date. we don't even have a confirmed release date for the 1st single (!) for a record that is supposed to come out in sept. if you don't see the mess there....

I was actually thinking about the Life is Beautiful lyrics the other day and how they're connected to that Age of Adeline movie and I think it's actually about her lover being dead but Lana being unable to accept it. Here's the first set of lyrics we hear

I don't believe
This is the end
 
To me, it seems like she's trying to convince her lover to wake up and not be dead. She's saying that he's not away, and that his soul is still on fire. She can't believe this is the end (of their life together, since he's now dead). 
 
I think if Honeymoon is actually a dream sequence like some have theorized it might start with Honeymoon and end with Life is Beautiful, which is where the album-long dream of still being with her loved one shatters because she can no longer convince him that life is beautiful and to stay alive (a pipe dream) because he's already dead. 

I just had an idea. Wouldn't it be cool if Honeymoon was the first track on the album and Life Is Beautiful was the last. The album would open with "Dreaming away your life" and close with "Don't be that way, don't you pretend you're not awake" and then the 12 songs in between could be totally surrealist and dreamlike.
