^ how I feel about Home/Gone/Getting Colder Imagine these women join forces : Meet Aurora, the Mythical Lovechild of Björk and Grimes It was in 2012 when Aksnes uploaded a personal song onto Norwegian Soundcloud that she first got discovered. Originally, the track was meant as a Christmas gift for her parents, but it quickly found its way to the ears of an agent. @Sucker what song is it?

AURORABOARDS in 3, 2.. I remember reading, either everyone wanting every artist to cover Teardrop, or maybe specifically Aurora, but when I saw that cover, I was like, wow imagine those 75643131224545 happy ears dying for it. But now I'm somehow imagining her covering Alanis Morisette - Uninvited (Also, now you can tell her that a fan in a Lana forum thinks she's the female, Lannisterish, Jesse Eisenberg--visually)

What if she already did? Which reminds me, do we have a thread chronicling/listing her AUDIO/VIDEO interviews?
  6. Cola reminds me to quite a few. And I really like these kind of music listening experiences, when a song reminds you and makes you want to hear another songs. Granted, Gaga sampled it in Pokerface, but I think there's a similarity of the way Lana declare her narrative lyrics (esp on the first verse) with the way Annie Lennox sings their Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams (Are Made of These) The falsetto belting, reminds me of Prince - The Most Beautiful Girl In The World The outro-vocalizing, yes very universal, but makes me wanna listen to Francis Lai ft Danielle Licari - Snow Frolic I just love this song sm
  7. Is it possible that OTTR taking cues both sonically and thematically from Robbie Williams - Love Supreme
  8. Yes, on a case like this, I'd say ~reminds me to..., or ~make me wanna listen to.. I personally think I'm Too Sexy ~ Brite Lites ~ Blurred Lines No one is copying/sampling anyone, but they all have similar strands of where a percussion instrument or two, serve that groovy acid funk jazz tempo. Dare we say, they share the same DNA? The same spirit? The same soul? That tar black soul~ :toofunny: https://a.tumblr.com/tumblr_odyn8bQJLU1rp8fcho1.mp3

Uploaded on Feb 3, 2011 Thanks To Axel and Catherine Naomi, Elizabeth, Axel, Caroline Catherine--the usual suspects But yay to unapologetic, non-conforming dance moves!
  10. Ride --> National Anthem --> The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony (~~> Antonio Vivaldi - Four Seasons: La primavera I Allegro) Subtly, the strings in Ride might remind you to Bittersweet, though fairly enough the arrangement is pretty common. And I think it's a common knowledge that NA sampled Bittersweet. (intro) Vera Blue - Hold --> Video Games This got me wondering what it'd be like if they put on an electro version of VG live. Does anyone have VG acapella for @butterflies to try to strip down and chillstep remix it? *back from google* Oh, there's already one. I was going to link my past post about wanting to hear Lana covers Lady Gaga - Summerboys, but I can't find it yet. That, and Boys Boys Boys are very Lana-ish, melodically and thematically. I even asked someone to sing it the way Lana sings Puppy Love and Hawaiian Tropic --that sugary sweet, skittish and bashful, demure yet flirty, Lolita-esque voice.

  12. What camera did you use for the film? I think maybe one of the, funnily enough, toughest challenge in recreating old films look using our present camera technology is that cameras are now produced with such HD features that the frames are so smooth, whereas old films frame-transitions are laggy, jumpy, startled, coughed and skewed. Make more of these. Kudos for the actor, the make up, the costume, the location scout. I honestly thought that midway you will abruptly switch to our present, polluted time--with blinding fast, catatonic, hyper-realistic frames and sounds. What happened to the lady at the end? Now we need an Environmental Training vol.2, about a young adult depressed in present time, and pseudo-nostalgically longing to live in the bygone era--when life seemed so simple; travels time to the 40s, only to find that it was just as bad--wars, worldwide socio-economic depressions and cultural uproars. Made me wanna ask if y'all watch that series The Man in High Castle? I'm considering to. But, eh.. maybe wait until at least S2 or S3. Cheers!

  14. Back, and I tend to go with the feature-length pop video comment, aye.. I guess I even think Tropico > ND. I give credit on the line "Sweet, plastic is just good grooming." idk why I just like it. And maybe it was intentional, or not, idk.. but there was a moment where it felt like I was eternally waiting for the next line after "I don't wanna be them..", and all the while I was screaming and cringing inside, "No, no. Please not that line. Don't let it be that line. No, no~~~~!" and.it.was.that.line I haven't guffawed that loud for quite a while. VISUAL : 2/5 (I think it's okay, if being put in a group of other noir-ish films--competing for neo-noir award, I'll give it a 2.5 perhaps) ACTING : 2.5/5 (They are decent actors, if not good methinks--was it the lack of dialogue? Perhaps. Who wrote the screenplay?) SCORE : 3/5 (also okay, there's one that I quite like, towards the end) That said, I'm astounded at how prophetic this gif was

I got cheap, standard earphones. At first I thought it was just the result of hi-hats sound-patterns meshing, but my head opted to decipher it as something else, and yes I think my brain referred to that 'hugging tree sound' interview as well, re: sounds and noises Sorry m8, got no notifs for being quoted, but the one @@Sucker posted was the one I listened to https://amazingtunes.com/deccarecords/aurora/tunes/403327 Listened to the MK Remix once, I have to pass Maybe she sneakily recorded the sound of this train 4:48

I thought I was going madder than usual when listening to I Went Too Far (Radio Edit), I heard a cat was trying scratch his way of the window into my room, but there was no cat whatsoever. But the sound was clearer still, tickling my left ear onto my collarbone, sound of a typewriter mimicking the hurrying start of locomotive engine. I remove my earphone, look around and there was no such sounds. Only then I realized that it's probs the sneaky, subtle sounds that Aurora incorporated in her songs. It starts at 01:25.. very, very ticklish. Mind asking her what sound that was?

Woah, Travis? Really didn't expect that one. Now, please.. please work with Woodkid. @@Sucker next time you met her, can you please ask her to check out Woodkid and work a project with him? Anything, music or video. I reckon nothing less than magic would happen if these two join forces.
