  1. I'm with you when it comes to constructive critique (instead of either loving something extremely or bashing it and all the people who ma like it), but ... I think it's quite reasonable to not judge a song based on two super short snippets and a live acapella of the first verse and then compare it with another short snippet. ________ I think JFK, AFFA, Starry Eyed, Hollywood and the Black Beauty demo are overrated. Everyone calls them "Untouchable" and thirsts for the album which would have contained them, but even though they are nice, I think if you listen to all of them one after another, they are quite forgetable and dull. Plus, if she would have released an album like this after Paradise, this wouldn't be any kind of positive style-development.
  2. I even doubt we'll get something soon. I came to a point where I think she just teases for no obvious reason apart from being excited.
  3. I guess it will be a build-up song to some level ... these strings in the background have some kind of ... tension. She looks great tho, I wonder if it's just a "selfie shot" she did for the snippets or if the snippets are actually from a music video. Sad thing is, now that she teased something again, I could see her disappearing for another 2 weeks :/
  4. Since I could see HM onlyb eing a promosingle, it doesn't seem toooooo unlikely we could get it with Apple music.
  5. But bullsh*t since none of use really knows her and we are actually here because we like her music.
  6. She teased Body Electric before Rde by playing it live and it wasn't the lead single of Paradise. Honeymoon sounds NOTHING like a single, I guess it'll be a promosong as it's the title track though,
  7. I still refuse to believe "Don't be that way" is the beginning of the song, It sounds more like the second part of a verse than the beginning of it.
  8. These two are quite good The HQ recording form the first ES tour show is sadly not featuring the new instrumental
  9. Off To The Races (because of the wonderful live variation) Ultraviolence
  10. I doubt that "don't be that way" is the beginning of the song. Judging from the snippet we have, t sounds more like the second part of a verse and not the beginning of it.
  11. SO it's definitly "If you'll be by my side" and "like the winter we're not in" (it makes the most sense that way anyway)
  12. I just hope we'll get a full song soon. No matter if it's a single or promo track .. but i want something! I wasn't too excitedabout Life Is beautiful because it sounds like it could be from the Big Eyes/ I Can Fly session (and even though I like these songs as soundtrack songs, I don't need them on albums) But Honeymoon ... it sounds so great,
  13. I'd be perfectly alright with Nowels being a main producer. I think most of the songs he did with her are great. Heath .. I don't know. He's good for soundtrack music and "Orchestral Remixes" (Y&B, WC) but having more than 2 songs produced by him on a record ... no pls not. Because judging by his latest collabs with her, we'd get a monotonous record if he does too much.
  14. Haha, that's how I also "sang along" to the lyrics in my head when I read them. The chorus in the melody of "In Hollywood, in Hollywood, I'm alive again" and the verses in the melody of the MPG verses
  15. If she starts to do live acapella snippets, we can be QUITE sure that she'll release it soon. AND I HOPE WE'LL GET A HQ RECORDING OF FLORIDA KILOS, it sounds greeeeeat live.
  16. I'd say it sounds orchestrated but not in a common Dan Heath way ... Life is Beautiful could be a Dan Heath song, but honeymoon .. don#t know, sounds different.
  17. It really sounds and looks different. Cinematic, but without being a general Dan Heath thing. The vocals aren't as poppy as on BtD and not as dark as on UV. And it seems like HM could really have some tropical/holliday-esque vibe.
  18. Lana's recent appearances definitly are more "mature" and "classy", so I also doubt we'll get an album full of super-pop-y music. However, on the othe rhand, she's playing Serial Killer, Off To The Races and Us Against The World live recently, as well as having this tropical Sleepwalk-intro. I am sure that whatever she does will be beautiful, as long as she's at least evolving her style into SOME direction. Because doing the same stuff she already did on her previous albums would make her become more and more repetitive and boring. Oh, and I think you can be a very serious and mature artist/diva/whatever and still do TV and radio performances.
  19. I don#t think the lazy chorus of G&R is such a big deal. It may not appeal to everyone, but i still think it fits the song.
  20. It's called "auto tune" and I'm suprised she didn't wrote ALL of it herself, if she seriously has cowriters for " Stop ta-ta-talking that blah blah blah, think you'll be getting this nah nah nah" ..... Cruel World is a lyrical masterpiece compared to most of her stuff.
  21. Vintage Lana was really cool style-wise. The sound was iconic aswell, but I don't think I want her to go back there, at least not using the Lolita-in-the-hood/ Gangster Nancy Sinatra Style, as I feel like she exhausted this style/persona. If she does the vintage diva thing again, I'd hope for a more mature version (like the Another Man poster) Rock Lana ... I love the sound and the one Neil Krug photoshoot, but apart from this, this era didn't really have any consistent visuals, which was a huge let-down. Like, she could have rocked the vampire-princess style she had at the versace runway show or some more leather-jacket/flower dress outfits but she dropped this and just wore some strange summer-dresses.
