So ... realtalk - is this whole drama about that snippet that starts with piano and then adds drums/guitars/whatever during the first chorus? Cause I'm pretty sure that this snippet was confirmed to be a fan edit

God I remember how multiple users teamed up on me cause I refused to forve myself to like the CoCc-cover and went out of their way to frame me as the worst member on this site. I wonder where they r right now

That snippet from d*b**e? That was confirmed to be fake though ?

Well, on the one hand there is Pretty When You Cry, which is probably her darkest, most raw-est, desperate and truly saddest track. But both The greatest and 13 Beaches hit a bit harder for me. Even though the lyrics maynot go as deep as songs like Heroin, The Blackest Day etc. the delivery, the mood and the production (especially in case of 13 Beaches) just SOAKS of melancholia, regret and defeat. In TG this vibe kind of clashes with those dramatics guitars, while the nautic sounds of 13B completely embrace it while still staying subtle

Oh god the circle continues ... flower discussion, tasteless NFR bashing, debating whether BtD is her worst or most iconing album so far, ... I'm glad we're already past the retirement-panic and the vinyl colour speculation

Wasn't there yarro or wild carrot on some promo stuff? Not sure though, maybe I'm confusing something here

Well, her first album is the most easy-to-listen-one. Criminal, Shadow Boxer and Sleep To Dream are pretty catchy. Other songs that are probably good gateway-tracks may be Shameika, Every Single Night, TYMPS, Limp and On The Bound. However, I would recommend to just go through her discography in chronological order. "Tidal" - "When The Pawn ..." - "Extraordinary Machine" - "The Idler Wheel ..." - "Fetch The Bolt Cutters". I think this way you can really flow with her artistic process and the development of her sound, from smoother tracks to a more experimental approach.

I'd put Yosemite behind TNC and TNBAR after Cherry -
Her Twitter and FB are still gone though

She just reactivated to post about how Lorde is a stinky little rip off and that she will get her revenge on her new album "So Hard To Be True" out December 29

Alexandra Savior has a lot of "Lana-vibes" without sounding like a rip-off. Especially her sophomore album "The Archer" has those cinematic vintage-vibes that Lana is known for And then there is always Elysian Fields. That's a bit more of "AKA"-Lana vibes A lot of people here like to compare Lana to Mazzy Star vibes but I think that their lead singer Hope Sandoval's side-projcect "Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions" is much more "similar" to what Lana does. -
Kinda expecting her to do something for it, looking at how it still pays her bills as it recieved a second bloom through TikTok

Unreleased songs you want Lana to rework/release
Thunder Revenant replied to Hundred Dollar Bill's topic in Lana Thoughts
This would be my take - kind of a mix of those gritty indie-pop tracks she did prior to BTD, some of her more pop-ish takes and some of those magic UV outtakes. 01. Kinda Outta Luck 02. You Can Be The Boss 03. Heavy Hitter 04. Hundred Dollar Man 05. Put The Radio On 06. Trash Magic 07. Serial Killer 08. Every Man Gets His Wish 09. Hollywood's Dead 10. Jealous Girl 11. Us Against The World 12. Say Yes To Heaven 13. Your Girl 14. Fine China -
I'm kinda sure that either IYLDWM or Beautiful will be one of the huge "suprise fan favourites" that no one expected because we were all so hyped/fo cussed for Black Bathing Suit and Sweet Caroline while those two titles don't really induce a lot/ we don't have any information on them. For some reason I expect Violets For Flowers to be a cute, but not really outstanding song (but I'm happy to be proven wrong)

Maybe it's because english is not my first language, but I think that the word "banisters" sounds really nice. It just flows in such a poetic way, even though it refers to a pretty regular object. So on a sonical level I think "Blue Banisters" completely fits a Lana album (much better than Arcadia would have), but I guess that's a perspective you may only have as a non-native speaker for whom the words sound still holds a bit more distance to its banal meaning (I'm sure I would not be as open to things like that in my own mother tongue)

Oh yeah I can see how tiiiiired she is of fame and the bragging upperclass
