Venice Bitch could have easily been a 6:05 song. Until that point the song actually develops and grows but everything after that just feels like it's going on for the sake of it.

This song reminds me a bit of Old Money - it does not habe the same oldschool classiness but it's got a similar simple elegance.

Well .. the video has nice visuals but .. .that's it. I like how she chose the surfer scenes for FIILY and took the boat/ bar scenes for the Greatest but ... ugh. Like I expected it's cut in the most anticlimatic way ever. Pretty pic after pretty pic, but not taking th flow of the scong into consideration. It's ok with FIILY but a song as dramatic as The Greatest would have deserved something better. I LOOOOVE the fake surfing scenes and the muscle dude (while being over the top) is suuuuper hot.

What a twisted definition of racism. You don't habe to habe black buddies to not be a racist and you don't have to mention how great Nina Simone is in order to be allowed to critisice Kanye Wests support of Donald Trump (a rwcist, btw). Black idiots are just as much idiots as white idiots. I don't like the name dropping but you are trying to hard to make an issue out of nothing here.

It's far too flat to be a trip hop beat. It's just ... a beat.

I'm a bit worried that they will have the usual LDR- music video problem: beautiful footage but cut in the most anticlimatic way possible. The preview already seems like it ... we get a super dramatic part of the song and the scenes just get stitched together randomly, not really going along with the climax of the chorus. Lana smiling and throwing darts while the most dramatic part of the song plays, wild cuts that have no connection to the flow of the track ... I really hope it's just the preview

This track has this slight vibe of Fiona Apple during her Extraordinary Machine era. It's a great opener and title track. However, I feel that it ends too soon. The second chorus should have been just the same as the first one, then some sort of bridge (even if just an instrumental one) and then the last chorus with the extended outro.

Unpopular opinion but I think Venice bitch is suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper overrated. The lyrics are not that good, her vocal delivery and the vocals melody is not really up there with her best moments and YES the track is 10 minutes long and has some pretty nice elements of production but I feel like it's really not going anywhere. It's long and stuff gets added up but it does not really feel like the song is just going on and on for the sake of it without any development.

I LOVE this track, probably my favourite from the new album (although I haven't heard all of the songs yet) but the Kanye West namedrop is just unnecessary and does not add anything to the lyrics. Especially the way she just drops it during those last slow outro-lines.

This song really needs some time and space to bloom. At first it sounds like a nice, breezy, slightly weird track but then you hear all the layers. It's not just some standard-Lana-love track but actually a pretty thoughtful, introspective song. I like the build up a lot, especially with all the layering during the climax.

I listened to the LQ leak and ... well no. I still love the song but the lrics change is terrible. The bitter vibe and the "You did it all for fame. How does that taste coming out?" lines really were something special and beautiful. Now I get that she's at a different place in her life now and she probably has a different point of view on this relationship by now. But the new lyrics are just ... bad. They are meaningless, random and make no sense at all. If she wanted to chage the chorus, why couldn't she come up with something better than "I just wanna party with you, I'm taking of my bathing suit"? Empty phrases that don't fit the rest of the lyrics and don't even flow that well. The production and her vocals are still on fire and not even those bad lyrics will manage to ruin the song for me, but it's a fact that the new chorus is REALLY bad songwriting which was pretty much done for the sake of it.

There are some pretty good tracks on it, but the album as a hole is a mess and full of questionable last-minute-decisions. Especially after UV and HM were both so cohesive, artistic and she seemingly started to "mature" a lot with Hm, LFL just felt like a big step back.

I still want a Mark Lanegan X Lana Del Rey duet.

I gave into the temptation and listened to the LQ Leak of HIAB. To think that I was ready to stop caring for her after LFL and only listened to her stuff every other months a year ago. Now I'm completely enchanted again and I'm soooo excited for the album.

I still don't kbow why they are holding back The Greatest and FIILY after they "leaked" through Google and YT. Would habe been better to just push them out there instead of stubbornly sticking to their (new?) release schedule. The amount of streamd they probably lost that way ...

Latevto the party but I just heard The Greatest and - WOW! I absolutely love it. The grandeur in her voice, the songeriting ... FIILY is nice aswell but TG is definitly my favourite track from the album so far (considering the ones we've heard in full)

Wow, NFR really has some pretty different songwriting compared to the rest of her catalogue. It's much more direct and less romanticizing.
