The fact that the specific article she chose somehow has a point... Like, it discusses in a kinda non conflict-searching way her definetly odd choices. She came out of the blue with that explanation on how her (terrible) cover art was inclusive. Nothing was known till then about the album, but the title and two songs that were truly loved. No one criticised "all about the album" before she wrote that absurd rant after posting the cover. This doesnt make sense at all. And as much as I love her, its starting to get disgusting how much she still manages to make a huge issue as racism just about herself. I get that artists build also on controversy, but there's limits. Either if she's actually as uninformed as she shows or if she is willingly setting up the chaos for whatever reasons, this is getting right now actually offensive.

Chemtrails Over the Country Club - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll
sjatib replied to Elle's topic in New Releases
I'm maybe gonna be killed for this, but I prefer WD video over Chemtrails. Seems simpler, but more effectively executed. Title track video was kinda clumsy to me, like... too much, not in a good way. Truly enjoyed watching this one though. -

Lana Del Rey stars on the cover of the new edition of Music Week

They talked about that "secret project" or whatever when they were asked about the possibility of Lana doing a broadcasted concert. I'd say it's maybe a documentary (would truly love that we would get one!) -
COTCC has displayed a whole new soundscape (that includes a clear NFR hommage on one song of eleven) that stands for itself and doesn't relate at all with what NFR was -IMO, one of the flaws on NFR was that it seemed for the most of it like a group of unrelated songs put together and didnt manage to offer a coherent aesthetic). I dont understand the wish for COTCC to be understood as NFR 2.0, as its not just absolutely different, but actually a huge development on all levels on her artistic trajectory as a whole (and not regarding NFR specifically).
