As a fan of her music, the silence is annoying. I don't have to be her boss, or her friend, or her goldfish to feel that way. I can feel whatever the fuck way I want, and so can everyone else. Like who are you, the feelings police?

I don't feel "owed" anything, but I also think what she's doing is unprofessional af. That's her prerogative, but fans of her music are, understandably, going to get annoyed.
 
She said the album would be out "top of the year", it's the end of May, and there is still no news. Throw in the false Google release date, and it's not surprising that people are impatient and confused. Many months have passed without a single comment about it from her, her managers, or her label. Meanwhile, she's posting about everything else, including other people's albums. Given that, a lot of people are going, "why can't she say something? Anything?"

i'd definitely get her feeling resentment towards this forum tbh. however, i also feel like it's the price you pay for being a public figure made ridiculously rich by the people you're also disappointing...... i don't agree it has to descend into cruelty though. some mocking i think can be fun, constructive criticism and opinion sharing for sure. i don't get why people get so upset over some of the longer, analytical posts written with careful thought tho cos personally i find them really interesting

To give my two cents on the second point- criticism is a lot harder to face than praise is.  The people who would leave comments on the YT video of Hope saying it's boring or that they're not looking forward to NFR would impact her more than the people who left negative comments.  This isn't to say that the people leaving negative comments aren't entitled to their opinion- they absolutely are, comment sections are there for a reason- but as we know from the legendary 'I'll pray for you Cathy' et al comments, she does read the comments and does let them negatively impact her.

i forgot ben didn't like the original album cover. that's it. that's what this whole thing has been about. she is being petty as hell and refuses to do anything for the next year because she doesn't like to be told no. i can see the whole scenario of her managers texting and calling and asking about the new cover while she just sits on a lawn chair with her insta friends and takes 5 days to text back a "respect my process please" text while taking another sip of her green matcha whatever drink.

This era is a joke, but its not even a funny one! First of all, releasing a song call doin' time doesnt mean u have to crash a car and go to prison to fit the mood and second of all it wouldn't surprise me if at this point insta stans are going to pretend shes deleting comments to promote how to disappear or sum. Shes litteraly deleting us from her life slowly
