  1. you replied to my post and then went off on a rant about "crazy stans", that's what i know. but let's not get off-topic and we can just end it here
  2. excuse me, but i never attacked her clothing, hair, makeup, plastic surgery, weight, choice of men, childhood traumas and political feelings. please show me where i did. to say Lana is left-leaning because she hates Trump or called out Kanye is foolish. those were easy moves that had no effect on the revolution. and no she's a centrist, and an apathetic one at that. see now i'm criticizing her. and where the fuck do you get off, telling me to get over it? mankind is everybody's business. and last time i checked, this is a Lana Del Rey forum and guess what? we discuss Lana Del Rey!
  3. gotta tell you something hun, Sean is not super liberal and neither is Lana Del Rey
  4. she's crazy as fuck confirmed
  5. i love love love your signature, the honeymoon video is one of my favorite visual artworks from her 10/10
  6. it's not about liking her because you're gay, it's about why she has such a vocal following of gay fans. why they relate to her, what attracts them to her, etc.
  7. someone commented on her recent post "THATS MY CATHOLIC WITCH" hehe
  8. just saw a comment on Lana's instagram post that reminded me of this thread. it was written in response to a "sexy" bot saying to check out her profile this is a Lana post. 90% of us are gay and the other 10% are straight up only in love with Lana.
  9. one of my all time favorites from her

  11. have you ever been mistreated by the police? are you aware of how often it happens? i have told cops about things then watched them dismiss it with a wave of their hand. not all cops care about law, safety, or justice. and let's not forget he is a reality tv cop. not just a cop. a reality tv cop who has racially profiled citizens and likes sexist posts on social media. sounds pretty douche-y to me. he is in a position of great power and we need to hold him accountable. no more blind trust in authority figures.
  12. nope. never have. i sing and have asthma anyways, gotta keep the lungs healthy! are you someone who likes to be out and about or more of a homebody?
  13. i was going to see them on their reunion tour, but then ya know the pandemic
  14. a man of great taste i see and yeah i'm trying to get into more riotgrrrl bands, there's quite a lot. but i've been listening to bikini kill for two years, they're really special to me
  15. "Bikini Kill is an American punk rock band formed in Olympia, Washington, in October 1990. The group consists of singer and songwriter Kathleen Hanna, guitarist Billy Karren, bassist Kathi Wilcox, and drummer Tobi Vail. The band is widely considered to be the pioneer of the riot grrrl movement, and was known for its radical feminist lyrics and fiery performances. Their music is characteristically abrasive and hardcore-influenced. After two full-length albums, several EPs and two compilations, they disbanded in 1997. The band reunited for tours in 2019 and 2020." - Wikipedia

  19. wow that's a really good perspective. young gay men and young girls are definitely preyed on. so if some of us relate to this objectification that she portrays, would we really still listen to her? feeling like you can identify with an artist is very powerful, but i feel like hearing that same message over and over again can be harmful and might affirm the feelings of objectification. in a time of "empowering music", were there people that were forgotten about and some of us happened to be those people? maybe some artists sang empowering songs about only specific demographics and we couldn't find ourselves in there. i guess seeing someone like Lana be an outcast, but still powerful is what it boils down to. idk sorry if this sounds ignorant and dumb, i have troubling writing down my thoughts or even identifying them sometimes
