When Lana was in Toronto, My friend and I were chatting with the band members briefly and had asked when they would come back around which is sometime fall-ish (October - November) makes sense if the Album came out and a UV tour would likely happen.


 

Yeah I haven't received my boxset either.. 
The vinyl from UO looks nice. I don't know if I like the blue/pink coloring though.

I don't really think Lana was aiming for her songs to feel like the movie version of A Clockwork Orange.

Then, Cruel World was released along with the record and has no similarities with that snippet. 
 
She sang a little bit of it again on June 21th, 2014 at the Fête de la Musique festival before singing Cola.
 

 
First, I thought maybe she was singing mad world and just changed mad to cruel, but now there are other lyrics and a solid beat to it so now I think maybe this was her version of Cruel World before she started working with Dan and then they completely changed it.

Still haven't received the Deluxe CD/Vinyl Boxset from Universalmusic.com

I understand that. However, they should have foreseen that it was going to sell a lot. And seeing how I preordered this the day it came out, shouldn't my order have been accounted for already? She said NO us orders have shipped out as of yet. So if we all preordered they should be there. I can see if it had already been released and I ordered after the release and it was delayed but thats not the case. My frustration is 100% valid. Especially seeing pictures of other peoples box sets whether we are in the same country or not.

Cruel World, Ultraviolence, Shades of Cool, Brooklyn Baby, Sad Girl, Pretty When You Cry, Fucked My Way Up To The Top, Old Money, The Other Woman, Guns and Roses, Is This Happiness, and Flipside are all a close second though

No, the lyrics aren't incredible by any measure, but they are better than BTD in my opinion. The lyrics fits well with the music in UV (with some obvious missteps) and that's the only important thing in pop/rock music. I don't expect philosophical depths from non-classical musicians. It always bores me when some indie "connoisseur" derides other (pop) artists lyrics because their faves are probably just incrementally better or not at all (or maybe worse). Without the music, Jim Morrison's poetry it's mostly incoherent imagery and a collage of emotional cuts. So it's no need to invest to much energy in over-analyzing the lyrics in my view, music is more emotion than rationalization. What is the point of some very good political discourse if it not elicits any emotion through the music. There are some artists that can merge a real message with emotion like J. Cash but most of the musicians with an "real message" are boring. Lana induces emotions and that is enough for me

I just did these quick today and really liked how they came out. I hope you guys like them I wanted them to all to fit together.

I want to know where his review of UV is. Because that was just a critique of Lana Del Rey, the person.

Am I the only one who especially loves the last time she sings "He's got the fire, and he walks with it/He's got the fire, and he talks with it" in Sad Girl?

I actually just read some of Taylor's lyrics and some of them (Like Red) were quite good... But I still think Lana is better. But they are both both definitely the best song writers in pop music today....'
