He won those awards decades ago and even that doesn't really mean anything. Macklemore won four Grammys this year. And do awards really mean that much to you because they obviously don't to Lana.

sounds like a really random announcement to make imo. if it's really release in may she's obviously going to perform songs off of the album on the following dates but vida festival isn't even one of the first dates after the supposed release so idk what they're doing

there's been speculation it'll be released on october 13 and that the title will have something to do with roses because she's been posting a lot of rose-themed stuff and she posted a lot of red stuff before she announced red. but she just announced some tour dates in asia and we probably won't get an official announcement till like august

I don't mean that money doesn't make you happy, of course that isn't true but she's been saying that she's a lot happier now since she released Born to Die and I don't personally know her so I'm just going to have to believe her. I hope she doesn't keep writing about the darkness of her past, she's been singing about the past for so many years now, I hope she talks about the Born to Die era, her experience with fame and maybe backlash but more songs about Mike, Jimmy and K would just be boring. Black Beauty and AFFA were nice and sounded like a natural progression from Born to Die and Paradise but it was still very much in the same vein, and possibly a little too similar to that.

I honestly don't like Lana and Rob hyping the album up and I'm trying to ignore what they're saying so I'm not disappointed when I hear it. Because really, what's so dark it's almost unlistenable? Maybe super experimental industrial rock with screamed lyrics about child molestation or some shit. Lana's already sung about sex, death, suicide, violence and Lolita stuff and to some extent domestic violence but how much can she really write about it? I mean it's not like her life is riddled with darkness, she lives in a big house in L.A., goes to Starbucks every morning and sometimes drives to the beach with Barrie.

Didn't know we had an Ed Sheeran thread lol. A friend of mine was in love with his song "Drunk" a long while ago and I think I listened to like 5 seconds of it and thought it was boring and I don't like the song he did with Taylor Swift either but for some reason I listened to his album recently and I really love it, he's a great songwriter. And the song for 1D he wrote is the only one I've only listened to in full which speaks for him. I saw Taylor live last weekend and he was the special guest and sang a duet with her and he was really good and after that he said he'd be announcing Europe dates soon. He's a really good performer imo so I'd love to see him play live if he comes anywhere near me.

It probably wouldn't sell well and I think Lana is completely over that stuff. I mean, she said Ultraviolence made her forget Born to Die, I doubt she'd want to re-release songs from as early as 2005.

No, I just wanted to watch the show and I think taking pictures or videos would've distracted me. I also didn't take my stuff into the pit because it would be a lot busier than it turned out to be.

I was there as well. The people with crazy costumes that are picked by Taylor's people and her mom get to meet Taylor after the show in Club Red, maybe they get better seats too though. I was in the pit so I was really close to Taylor and I think her duet with Ed was my highlight, he was a really great performer just standing there, playing his guitar and singing.

not watching the olympics mainly bc of their exploitation of workers (some of which took out loans to fly there and make money but were never paid a cent), they seem to have a way with treating people inhumanely. i also think it's good the german president isn't going there (but i think it's odd how some spokesperson of his said it isn't a boycott when it clearly is, he's a civil rights activist) and i hope angela merkel doesn't go either, she boycotted the part of the 2012 european championship that was set in the ukraine after yulia tymoschenko was imprisoned.

I think so I think so I don't know idk i've learned to take lana's announcements with a huge grain of salt so if it's released on may 1 i'll be happy but i'm not getting to hyped up just yet. also not expecting new songs at coachella tbh, didn't rob say some songs leaking made lana upset because they spoiled the album during the paradise tour but they were songs from 2010 or something? i also think he just wants to keep the fans excited for new material. who knows, i don't trust her with dates (and lol guys tropico isn't the only time she messed up w the release date) but i'm happy she's so happy w the record
