I do believe that The Fame doesn't feel like something that needed\could be expanded. She kept a very specific vision for every album til ARTPOP and outtakes really don't fit most of the time. I really love stuff like Panty Party and Oh Baby, but I don't think they fit along "The Fame" level or needed them all tacked along, especially since it was all leaked. I also believe the "making" of the fame wasn't a very nice experience before the RedOne days. They mentioned how secure they were with Born This Way, creating 3398498 versions of every song just to pick up a "best version" out there, and they probably just don't vibe with the rest. I don't think there's like full unkown songs thought. She probably recorded Living On The Radio and "Charlotte Nights" on her piano or over a beat like some sort of concept demo, but it's just rough stuff like Stuck on Fucking You and it feels... useless? I do wish they would pick some of these "alternative versions" like Bad Kids extended or Americano Mariachi. There's a lot of stuff on Born This Way that was actually made last minute, like Heavy Metal Lover & Black Jesus. Bad Kids was also completed in early 2011. It's kinda crazy to imagine BTW was almost released in 2010 and it wouldn't have like... HML and BK. A Nightmare. From ARTPOP onwards it does feel like she was just doing thousand songs to finally settle what she actually wanted.
  2. Ugh when she plays a tiny snippet of Don't Forget + Descending and gives a interview saying "This winter!" next year... it will be over for you bitches. Sky, sky is bitches. And we. We are bitches.

You estimate how much you actually need for the movie while writing the script. Just the idea of "oh yeah let's make it 3 hours!" is out of reality. She didn't have the practice for long-film writing (because well... it IS different of writing a cute treatment for your music video without dialogue, sequences or anything at all). That's what I meant with "doomed from the start", she could have the greatest ideas for the whole concept, it needed the right hands to trimmer it. She always aimed higher with the "aesthetic" side than the "story", so it's great she managed to produce something in such a huge escale in Hungary. It's actually cheaper to shoot on location in some "smaller" countries in Europe than actually doing it in studio\location in US. 6 Million budgets is still crazy but she probably owned that after Cry Baby having its own success and touring endlessy to have the money plus saving with these cheap songs from K12 but that's another topic.

Reading about the K12 movie over the last pages and I think she was actually smart for spending these 6M to shoot the whole thing on location. I had no clue it was actually done in Hungary. The script was doomed from the start because the storyline is just bad. Reading that she learned how to do it on YouTube and also had to cut it because it was meant to be 3 hours (?!) doesn't help either. The acting is bad but well that's what happens when you bring your friends instead of real actors and so on. So at the end of the day at least she can say... it was beautifully shoot\done (which yes, it's a great achievement). Things could have been better if she had other people to write and direct, but It's also clear that the whole thing was much more of a passion project\vanity than anything else. There's no denying that she has a great eye for art direction.
  5. Finally. I HEAR SUMN.
  6. I keep reading these pandora's box lyrics with Are You Satisfied rhythm (high achiever don't you see \ baby nothing comes for free)
  7. Eclipse shared a pic from lyric video of the title track. Coming before album release.
  8. OoOoOoOrange OoOooOoOoOorange OoOoOoOrange OoOoOoOoOoOrange I can see The f*gg*ts and the misandry I take a breath of air I feel free
  9. The problem with Orange Trees is that stupid hook of "OoOoOrange" but the whole thing is just fine. It's actually well produced and the middle8\bridge is pure bliss. You can actually feel she's serene and happy. Eclipse said Venus Fly Trap would be coming as the third one and Amazon (or some other store whatever) hinted at the title track with their description I think.
  10. Fair too. I don't think it makes it any better for me but you've got a point tbh nn. I'm a Millionaire You're just a Venus FlyTrap, I'm queen Bee or whatever she's singing and putting "witch" in there Followed by Capitalism made us poor and Mother nature is dying but also she's on her phone!! Everything you mentioned from L+F is inoffensive while compared to Marina-Musk-Marx is trying here. *BUT* Sonically... it bops and it sounds ~so quirky~ ... that's a win.
  11. The way this album is shaping to be worst than L+F Lyrically but at least she's... sonically back (?). I'm gonna stay away from genius and bop my head or FEEL these piano chords. That's it. Edit: Also, with the recent trend of "rereleasing" albuns just a few weeks after the debut, I can see her actually tacking Happy Loner and Pink Convertible in there and calling it a day. She always mentioned about re-releasing\putting deluxe editions out and it just never happened. Mayyybe this time.
  12. It's a ~Minitour https://www.instagram.com/p/COdHsIEBw_m/
  13. Her IG Stories said "Lil announcement tomorrow" Unsure if she'd call a record "lil announcement" but we can always pray. Also the fact driver go faster leaked in... listenable quality. Thank lord.
  14. Listening to some L+F outtakes and it's funny how *deep down* there's a bop album buried in there that could have easily worked. "The Art Of Letting Go" 1. You 2. The Art of Letting Go 3. Baby 4. Please Don't Call Me 5. Water Under The Bridge 6. Karma 7. Believe In Love 8. There's Nothing Wrong With You 9. Soft To Be Strong No particular order, but It's basically a bop collection, with this perspective of having a recent break up and just looking all around. From missing the person, to suddenly hating, and also realizing the need to move on and that life goes on. I kinda wish End Of the Earth could be there as like track 01 as some "prelude" just like You but it feels so odd opening dd.
  15. Eclipse confirmed "Venus Fly Trap" is the next single on ATRL? Not anytime soon tho.
  16. I believe all of these just went wrong? nn Love In Stereo was shot in VHS\Camcoder and the whole footage got fucked up Guardian didn't go ahead with GrantSinger There was the "visual EP" thing but no way she managed to film these too I guess.
  17. She also went through a breakup after releasing the "first single" and like changing a lot of the aesthetics from this era. All of these can be interpreted as commom heartbreak\breakup songs. She almost quit music after Froot without fanfare and Love+Fear was basically a vanity project of "Well what If I DID a FUCKING POP record??". She sounds actually inspired to be doing all music so... just unlikely I guess. Yeah it's a possibility tho.
  18. Sounds like a Family Jewels reject. Cute.
  19. I think Marina was sort of mismanaged but at same time I don't think they were like... failing at their job. They just aimed too high \ barked at the wrong tree. Especially with Electra Heart & Froot, where they basically just wanted to fuck up any goodwill from Europe while trying to make her a name in the US. The cancelled Lonely Heart Club leg, the total lack of effort to promote FROOT (where they really got her to do Good Morning America and... nothing on the other side of the atlantic? nn).... It was truly complicated.

I thought that was a possibility too! It could be it and would align with the whole "Acid Wash Girls" mess too, but it's just odd to imagine people would have full sessions for such a random song lol. But, still, it can be counted as a "demo" of sorts if it's just not the final version of the song. It's a different look at the process after all and just not an "edit" since there's veracity around it. I also believe the whole "oh it was just recorded in a hotel room #rockstarLife" is... not fake but also not 100% the way they tried to paint it. For sure they used some vocals from these "behind the stage\tour bus\hotel room sessions" but they also re-recorded everything in Studio for the main leads. It's just that Garibay's mixing always sound like being inside a bathroom or right under a stage loudspeaker. See: Dance In The Dark and even his songs with other artists. And it's mainly his songs that sound "odd" on Born This Way while Paul\DJWS stuff just sounds way clearer. It's always all over the place. Still: King(s).

There are real Born This Way demos out there (leaked and circulating). I believe we still don't have the Judas demo that was leaking on the release week and caused the song to be released earlier (lol). There's also some misconceptions like This is is not a real demo but a Remix. Back then she recorded a set of new vocals for a bunch of remixes (and then the whole thing was scrapped. ). We also got a "Fashion Of His Love" demo that some people screamed about it being a "stem edit", but at least for me it's clear that it uses a different vocal take from the album\final so it's whatever.
  22. Is it still a surprise that their process of creating music is *Jack in studio playing keys* *Lana Del Rey walks in and grabs a microphone* HmmmmMmMmMM mY White Dress hmmm You fucked me so good that I almost said you...boy... Jack: whew girl you doing that again Lana: HOPEISABUTTERFLYDOWNTHECHEMTRAILS Jack: wow girl yas *Piano solo goes on* Jack: Alright let's now produce this, get in that vocal booth an- Lana: Wait no, play another one, he's another rhyme look my flow is sick, play that piano man. Jack: Lana but we just got one solo take and we need to back it Lana: No man don't you feel the vibe? I'll NEVER be able to emote these lyrics again wtf??? that's why I'm never performing these songs live ever again. Now play some new chords I've got a chorus in my mind.
