Me when I finally "got it" with I Give Up and Hey Big Eyes Caroline Shut Up & Insomnia on the other hand... Just read the last pages and thrilled to know there's actually outtakes out there. Driver Go Faster in HQ please?? omg. And this is a bop. The high notes... I can't.

Polachek is really so fantastic. Started listening to the Chairlift stuff as well and I love it so much, ugh. She's pure talent. I think I can see what was mentioned about Pang maybe missing some "punchier" songs. I feel that stuff like Insonmia is a bit "too-filler" and not really bad, but just... exists. But then you have... Go As A Dream, Hit Me Where It Hurts, I Give Up (which took me a really long time to click but FUCK), the Title Track.... She's that girl.
-
The fact she just put it out as a lead single to "Make a music video!!" and... it's been over a year. I guess we can pretend it *is* the first album track and hope there's a lead!11

Fresh Laundry Regulars Learning In Public. Still not over how Fresh Laundry took some time but when it really clicked it was like...a revelation. Cape God felt like such a twist and even if it's not my favorite, it's just so well done and it feels great to see that she could pull something so different and so well. Ignoring her past as a Piano-Pop act.

Legends is alright. I'd say it's not really "too special" but it does sound well done. I love she really leaned even more into the 80s\90s sound and...amusing how most of the leaks (Guardian, Pray For Rain, This) are just 393894894% more commercial than anything on Nigh Time My Time and yet she's still fighting to make it happen like.... crazy. And she really picked Downhill Lullaby as a lead jus to fuck it up lol.

"Swamp Girl" was teased on a Tumblr post, the same post she announced "24 hours" I believe. Before.. Lost In my Bedroom was released. https://www.facebook.com/skyferreira/posts/new-album-tracks-24-hours-swamp-girl-the-song-coming-out-in-march-is-also-the-mo/10150759357904115/ tbh the craziest thing about this is the SHITLOAD of re-releases\Repressing that has been happening with the "Vinyl-Revival" and yet she couldn't put it out. Of course it might be complicated to put on a "Bonus Track" since they would need to re-do the plates and stuff (unless it was like, a separated '7 or something), but they didn't even bother with the standard album??? And it's just stupid because it would sell in a minute. Now, more than ever, people are just crazy over physicals again. People like Carly managed to put a "Five Years Anniversary" for Emotion, Harry Styles is literally doing a "1 year anniversary". NTMT will be 10 in... 3 years. It's time.

I was ready to hate it but the footage on the passenger seat, including audio from the radio leaking, was just fantastic. It does convey a nice emotion + perfectly fit with the song, like it was shot just for the video itself. Yeah, her miming scenes was the worst part but nothing too groundbreaking. I kinda gave up on waiting for her to SERVE visuals because... she just can't hit the spot. Born To Die was the perfect era for this and I'm happy I was there to stan when stuff like National Anthem and Summertime Sadness came out lol. And even then we had "Carmen" so it feels... traditional.

I don't really think that's delay. And x

Thinking about how whoever produced "TNWWY" really decided to emulate Pharrell and his "stutter beat" at the begin and... why? But yeah, basic bop that actually bopz. Happy Birthday Marina! Still looking forward your next steps x

This is actually great and I keep looking at it and the way it flows better than the record itself nn. It seems like a "Rare" Outtake leaked. "Out Of My Head"
-
Considering the interlude isn't exactly what it was supposed to be, and if she's not counting on that, then technically it would be 2 outtakes already, no? (lol)
-
I mean at this point it's just something integrated to her image. For good or for Bad. I didn't listen to it and just by the title plus cover yeah you assume it's just more of the same. It's a bit tiring. It's ~"her brand". And I don't think she's really willing to change it too.
-
You're totally right! Actually messed up in my head and forgot that we already had a "demo" nn. - I think it's plausible that she already had Super Sunset "almost-done" by January 2018 because of the early-tour where she premiered the songs and... the messy roll-out concept of "Giving the songs time to shine". By January 2018 she was teasing Science. But also in February she was still talking about "finishing song"

I thought the "Dancing in the dark" title was older? something we had known before CLX II was released? I guess my memory is glitchin then. Anyway. LEAK IT. Her best project and could be a killer full record.
-
LIFELINE?? Nvm it sounds basic even in LQ. edit: leak it. And Phantom. And Jabberwocky.
-
Omg a lot to check now. I really thought all that suff was just... forgotten
-
I remember few years back when ~WanderingSlave was dropping "HQ" files from previous leaks or so? Stuff like Sorry, Oh My God, Debut (I think? No particular order tbh). I tried "Take it Back" but nothing happened.
-
I WAS THINKING ABOUT IT LIKE 3 HOURS AGO. Omg I swear I was thinking about coming to this thread and ask if there's any legendary leak out there that we've been waiting\been teased and never leaked.
-
Homebound demo is cute I guess. I wish the first part didn't sound so dissonant with the heavy reverb on the vocals and almost dry instrumental, but the second part with backing vocals and harmony is good. I used to be obsessed with this song lol. Waiting for Phantom now. Even if there's no iconic high note in there nn.
-
Night Mime "muffled" chorus always felt a bit off (aka an edit) but just didn't bother that much (and people also tried to edit the chorus back in with the live etc etc etc So at this point I just can't remember the original leak). I never realized how much it reminds me of... Off To The Races? more in a real-Melanie vein. Bombs On Monday... that is a legendary song.
-
Homebound??? Ugh. An iconic song. Even if no version\snippet so far sounds so good as the live version with that gorgeous lush pad at the intro.
-
Love Me Off Earth is really good. I love the tringle for this one, My Forever and Reason Why. They all fit perfectly together.
-
For real I've been checking every few hours hoping there's a new sky leak???
-
She said she only pulled Downhill Lullaby because she wanted to make a music video for it (and, again, probably some label fuckery that sounds like "Label will give me budget for lead single video only so let's make the most while at it tehehee") and because she was confident her "pop singles" wore ready and would be fine later. She teased "Don't Forget" straight after and then "Descending" was performed live, both way more commercial and clear. Then whatever happened and we got no singles, no music video, no alternative version. That's all.
