Devil I know is really... hm. "weak". The album is still shapping up to be really great isn't it? Really made me dive deeper into a more organic-oriented world that I really didn't expect allie x of all people to get me there. Always thought my bond with her would be about glittering synths and heavy bops nnn. This album is sounding like CLX II without the... trend chasing aspect.

It's a different sittuation for both as explained on the post before. For Slayyyter we aren't actually sure of how she'll.. "keep it going". I saw many people "forgiving" her and giving a second chance but she really went M.I.A. and probably won't be back til there's music to hold her together. Many people canceled their album orders and then pre-ordered again after her hand note etc.

CTC was...fun. Because it didn't really stop her from anything. She kept touring with artRAVE yet had a lot of press and stuff. I don't think I've ever listened to the record in full or watched the performances at all but she served many looks and it was alright. I do think I watched that TV Program that was selling the album and the woman presenting was like "buy 1, buy 2 but what you should do it buy 10" NNNNN now THAT was iconic. Where was this LEGEND when ARTPOP was released one year before???

I think the tour was... cute... on it's on setup but I really can't imagine her going with that school theater stage into something like... Coachella stage (is the doing the main one? Not even sure but anyway). For the setlist, it could be ok but it's just pretty clear that L+F was the "smallest" era in the USA. I mean, not that FROOT or Electra Heart were somehow hits, but Electra Heart at least invented Tumblr and part of these gays\girls that live for Coachella too nnn. I just really wanted her to move on from this era, honestly. It would be great to bury eveyrhting and just wait for the next one.

I wonder if she'll have the NERVE of doing Love+Fear Tour on Coachella stage........ Also was about to say "maybe we'll be lucky and there will be a new album then" AND FUCKING REALIZED L+F IS NOT EVEN 1 YEAR OLD. fucking TRAGIC. Talk about aging like milk left under the summer sun in the middle of Saara or something. No More Suckers was one of my first songs for 2019. Happy New Year, Mariners.

I would never remember such a special birthday if it wasn't for Lanaboards. Def. gonna give it a spin now. Pawn Shop Blues probably one of my favorite songs of all time. Reading the first page was such a rollercoaster... and to imagine that now we have Mermaid Motel demo and Brite Lites (Steven version) lol.

Norman Fucking Rockwell - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll
DinahLee replied to Elle's topic in Post-Release Threads
Sent a thread to be approved just for the drama. I wanna see the twinks fighting. Wondering what's the sample for FIILY then -
I posted this on the post-release thread but it's honestly so messy and iconic that it deserves it's on thread. https://www.roughtrade.com/gb/lana-del-rey/nfr-new-version Rough Trade says "New version after an issue with a sample. The always incredible Lana Del Rey is back with her amazing new album NFR!.[...]" Is it another Get Free situation? Is Lana about to scam some twinks into buying more copies of the same album after 38389389 vinyl and covers variants? Is the vinyl color going to change too? Send your bets.

Norman Fucking Rockwell - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll
DinahLee replied to Elle's topic in Post-Release Threads
Couldn't bother to read the thread but it seems they're releasing a new version of the album after a "sampling issue" https://www.roughtrade.com/gb/lana-del-rey/nfr-new-version Any idea of what sampling issue it could be? -
Thank you so much @YUNGATA! I'll try to update this post here to keep them all and once the tour ends we can update the OP and won't spam your messages lol. Hope you guys appreciate this thread just like our original LA To The Moon one

I was thinking of searching for something like this like 5 minutes ago after remembering there was an ARTPOP concept demo leak and I couldn't find it nnn. Downloading now to check. The Temple thing is probably the Zedd instrumental from his album after it was "confirmed" that Onion Girl and Temple were instrumentals he released. One of them is "Addicted to a memory". Edit: from a quick check, it's interesting but it's still missing a lot of things.

Wasn't there a gay leaking stuff on Gagadaily and saying there would be things coming up til christmas? I just saw the Bad Kids acapella. Ugh can someone just LEAK her stuff like back June 2017. That was GOLDEN. Farhan was a LEGEND and ***** had to ruin it as USUAL because he hates GAY PEOPLE.

I think the main thing when people call her "lazy" and that "she's just lazy because she knows that people will swallow anything!!11" like... I don't really think that's real. Especially because... I don't think she ever gave a fuck about what her fans... thought or wanted at all. lmao. The music videos were clearly her vision and her desire to put on screen the image she had while creating these songs. Reminds me of when she said Ultraviolence was "Cinematographic". She had the budget and she had the vision, so why not? Everything used to look real expensive when you look back at it. (and I mean, not only the videos but the premieres and stuff she used to do). After doing it a few times it probably gets... boring. So she just got another ambition, probably focused on music only and that's it. sad but tru

Not sure if lana unpopular or what but I fucking scream at people raging about Off To The Races after it being requested for years (2012-2015) to be performed and then she just decided that she'll never let it go nnn. I would love if she performed something as random as This Is What Makes Us Girls some day. Or Religion. Flipside. Art Deco. You know... one of these songs she just... never performed.

She mentioned on Instagram that this tour will be like her first big show or something. I wonder if there's something really bigger happening then? She mentioned before in Q&A and stuff that she had so many ideas for a whole "arena tour if she had the chance one day". Well, she can cook something for smaller venues too. I also think this is the first time she's really going on with a bigger schedule and North America\Europe announced at same time? And no festivals? Also: the fact "The Other Side" was the best song from that soundtrack bunch and... she's not singing the final version. AND THEY USED HER VERSION OF THE ADS FOR THE MOVIE ON YOUTUBE............. Sunflower & Kid Wonder are cute but you now... cute next to gorgeous...

Well, she is the one to pick directors and stuff, I'm sure if she wanted someone else she could easily call someone. I believe her main problem is much more "I just had this AMAZING idea, Chuck come to my house now with the iPhone app and we have some work to do". Even with big directors she... managed to fuck things up. See: Ultraviolence-Music To Watch Boys To-Freak Next Best American Record-White Mustang. They were MEANT to be GREAT and the final result is... good. At best I guess.

I just found it super odd to think this is the same woman who delivered National Anthem\Ride\Tropico (hell, even Summertime Sadness and Born To Die) and then... well. iPhone Vintage App happened. Things started to slow down by Ultraviolence (because West Coast is cute but there's nothing much going on and Shades Of Cool is ok. The title track... we just don't talk about that. Not after what she did with the original video which was probably going to be on her top3 with the ones mentioned above). Is not that the videos are bad or anything but most of the time they're really boring now. I guess I kinda miss the storytelling instead of... just looking gorgeous.

She mentioned with Super Suset that releasing most of the songs before the album gave them time to "shine invidiually", especially because people just don't care for singles after album release\it's impossible to drop stuff and get attention. I believe she enjoys this strategy and it's also a new industry standard since you can get streaming points for the release week. Hopefully there will be more music videos coming up too. Since we already know that Devil I Know IS also expected to be a single, I guess a late-January release and then full album February.

Reading the tea about these songs are just as fascinating as listening to them. And Charli really hits the nail with the 80s songs. Ugh... sounds like a long lost queen.

For a fucking hot minute this thing popped on my YouTube first page and I thought it was an official upload (the channel have a nice amount of followers\subs too). Listened again and it's such a simple yet effective song. It's no top-tier-Marina but it feels like... actually GETS it somehow. It's like Enjoy Your Life but better. The production is not that cheap too.
