  1. is anyone else strangely obsessed with looking at pre-fame pics and videos of lana/lizzy?? feels like peering thru the looking glass
  2. ohhh thanks! he reminds me of john krasinski for some reason
  3. possible stupid question but is he the guy on the right or left??
  4. omg..... it feels so strange to imagine the two of them together but hey she loves that man like nobody can he moves mountains then pounds them to ground again i guess
  5. feels funny that this is an unpopular opinion, but 'video games' is still my favourite ever lana song
  6. It'll be sick to hear PWYC, Cherry and Shades of Cool live (SoC especially!!) since I never have before but this makes me very very nervous that she's not gonna switch up the setlist much imagine having a discography as deep, exciting, varied and - above all - BELOVED as Lana's yet sticking to the same like 15 songs in every show lmao
  7. NFR: "You talk to the walls when the party gets bored of you" (so genius, I dated a guy exactly like this and omggg this line is so ACCURATE) MAC: "You took my sadness out of context at the Mariner's Apartment Complex; I aint no candle in the wind" VB: "Give me Hallmark: one dream, one life, one lover" FIILY: "I moved to California but it's just a state of mind / It turns out everywhere you go you take yourself that's not a lie" DT: "The tension, it's getting hotter / I'd like to hold her head underwater" LS: "The taste, the touch, the way we love, it all comes down to make the sound of our love song" CG: "There's things I wanna say to you, but I'll just let you live; like if you hold me without hurting me, you'll be the first who ever did" (god I relate SO FUCKIN MUCH) HTD: "I know he's in over his head but I love that man like nobody can / He moves mountains then pounds them to ground again" California: "You don't ever have to be stronger than you really are when you're lying in my arms" TNBAR: "My baby used to dance underneath my architecture / He was '70s in spirit, '90s in his frame of mind" TG: "Hawaii just missed that fireball / L.A. is in flames, it's getting hot / Kanye West is blind and gone / Life on Mars aint just a song" Bartender: "Baby, remember, I'm not drinking wine, but that cherry coke you serve is fine and our love's sweet enough on the vine" (currently recovering from alcohol addiction so this line hit me hard) HIAB: "Happiness is a butterfly / Try to catch it like every night / It escapes from my hands into moonlight" HIADTFAWLMTH: literally the entire song lmfao
  8. the doin' time video is ridiculous i fkn love it
  9. haven't listened yet (currently trapped at work) but i'm honestly glad HTD has a different sort of production. even if it's not perfect - hell, even if i end up disliking it - i think it's crucial the album isn't just filled with piano ballads and stuff. given that we have the live piano version we can go back and listen to (no screaming crowd, yay!!) i'm glad that she decided to give HTD the "bigger" sort of production treatment. that being said i haven't heard it yet, so......
  10. omg the LFL tracklist arrangment ALWAYS bothered me so im v happy this thread exists, this my take on it without adding or subtracting any songs 13 Beaches (i mean seriously COME ON this song is the perfect opener) White Mustang Cherry Love Lust For Life When The World Was At War Coachella In My Feelings Groupie Love Tomorrow Never Came God Bless America Beautiful People Beautiful Problems Summer Bummer Heroin Change Get Free
  11. showing some love for this underrated gem
  12. When LFL first came out I hated White Mustang, but now it's one of my fav songs on there! Although it is a simple song it takes a while to realise how subtly it builds and layers and how her voice has this gorgeous sense of almost desperation at the "and you're revving, and revving...." part. I really sink into that song now.
  13. looking for love in all the wroooong PLAAAAACEEESSS ohhhmyGAAAWWWDD!!
  14. I love threads like these!! So I may or may not have thought about this a little too much... I personally like a setlist that flows well so I tried to think about it like that, but full disclaimer I haven't listened to any NFR songs aside from the snippets and the older singles so idk. I'm imagining this to be a tour that's promoting no album in particular, sort of like the Endless Summer tour! So just a little fun tour for the fans featuring a mixture of eras/albums. Intro 1) Intro Medley: Lust For Life / Get Free / Love 2) Cruel World (short snippet, transitioning into...) 3) Brooklyn Baby 4) Blue Jeans 5) Salvatore 6) Doin' Time 7) You Can Be The Boss 8) Boarding School (shortened version) 9) Sad Girl Intermission: Ride video intro 10) Ride 11) Yayo (with full band) 12) Terrence Loves You 13) Born To Die 14) The Next Best American Record 15) Cinnamon 16) Video Games 17) American 18) Burning Desire 19) West Coast 20) Off To The Races 21) Heroin 22) The Blackest Day 23) Summertime Sadness 24) Venice Bitch (meeting fans in outro) I know this will never happen because Lana would never perform for this long, buuuut... a girl can dream right?
  15. yay my account finally got approved so i can post after months of lurking! i haven't listened to TG/FIILY yet because i wanna wait for the album so i have more new songs to experience but hearing you guys rave about them is KILLING ME omg
