  10. so.... pubs and bars (no nightclubs yet) are reopening in england tomorrow and this is an absolute recipe for disaster. 44,000 deaths with more happening every single day, 576 new confirmed cases just TODAY, gyms still aren't open, children's parks still aren't open, many workplaces (including my own) still aren't open yet because of the high level of risk, mandatory face masks on public transport, my local cinema still isn't ready to open up... but because our government are ridiculous feckless tory bastards, they wanna open up pubs. stupid people that don't care about covid + booze = second wave. i spent almost ALL my free time in pubs and bars pre-covid and i miss it more than anyone but MAN, this is insane. the funny thing is, now all pubs and bars have to abide by a tonne of rules: no loud music so that people can talk at a normal volume rather than shouting and potentially spreading droplets strict social distancing measures in place no large groups dance floors to be filled with seating so that people can't congregate there, no dancing no payment by cash lots of places taking pre-bookings and keeping contact details to trace where the virus is going if any staff or patrons get infected i don't know what's more delusional... the idea that pub landlords will actually keep those rules in place (they won't), or the idea that customers will abide by them (they won't). maaaan, i miss going out and drinking and having fun so much, but it's just too early and with all these rules in place as well as the horrible fear of this virus it wouldn't even be any fun. no meeting up with groups of friends, no hugging people, no talking to new people, no smoking areas... it's not even worth the risk.
  11. can't wait for the confused twitter fans to discover Wolf T Shirt and say "OMG why is nobody mentioning that Lana's new single from COCC leaked!! It's not the sound I pictured tho :/ :/ :/ wtf"
  12. random but Bel Air is one of those songs I can barely listen to just bc it makes me so emotional, like it's one of my absolute faves but it's just so emotional to me I can't listen to it all the time

  16. RIGHT.... that's part of the reason I don't connect w Love Song, bc of how predictable and lazy the lyrics are "in my party dress I'm a fuckin mess" girl hang it up
  17. NFR really is a funny one. I find the the difference between NFR and Lana's other albums is kinda like the difference between watching Bob Ross do The Joy of Painting and watching something like Breaking Bad. NFR is almost like... slice of life, humble, background-ish music.... sorta like when you watch The Joy of Painting. It makes you feel happy and content and it's nice for sure. But then you put on Breaking Bad and it's a whole other vibe, you're on the edge of your seat, it's inspiring almost, it's exhilarating. That's like Lana's other albums to me... they conjure up such vivid imagery and make me feel stuff. Don't get me wrong - there's a WHOLE lot of emotion in NFR, but it's a different kind of emotion. Pre-NFR Lana is Saturday night, NFR is Sunday afternoon. It's an album I listen to SO much when I'm cleaning, on the train, and so on, but don't actively reach for if someone's like "play something!" whereas I might with Ultraviolence, Honeymoon, Born To Die, even Lust For Life. It's funny though cause I would rank NFR as my second fav album (after UV), but it's like a different kind of enjoyment.
