I really don’t think the election would majorly affect album sales..by the time it comes around there’s already going to be a month+ of preorders. Granted if she released November 8th (the Friday of election week) it might be a bit overshadowed, but I think any other Friday would be fine. November 15th/22nd ideally.

She only said September, but some twitter insider (who hotshot2am confirmed as a valid source) tweeted the date was September 20th but said the album wasn’t done and it would probably be delayed. I forget the username of who said it, it was chick and numbers

Everyone seems to forget/ignore that we literally know that when Lana first talked about Lasso, there was a date set (September 20th). This isn’t a ‘Chemtrails out September 5th (a random Saturday)/Rock Candy Sweet July 4th (a random Sunday)” she didn’t pull “Lasso out September” out of her ass, her and her label had hopes it’d be done and ready by then. September was always a long shot (especially since the same insider who confirmed the September date also said it wasn’t done and would most likely be delayed) but I do think an album this year is still very possible. Taylor swift (I know I know) released RedTV in November and it sold very well, so I don’t think November is the kiss of death some people think it is

Interesting! I guess I haven’t been paying that close of attention to release schedules overall, I’m more used to the more traditional 2 or 3 month rollout. I do think the shorter a prerelease the better with how people’s attention spans are, and I’m all for a month and a couple weeks prerelease

no If lana was an independent artist, the album would probably be out already, but she is signed to a label and they care first and foremost about profits/stats. She constantly breaks first week records and the label is absolutely not going to do anything that risks that. When she did that livestream talking about wanting to surprise drop like The Weeknd, she said in the very same breath (something along the lines of) “I’d never be allowed to do that”

Because we all know better there is no way her label would let her release an album without a month or two of preorders. I even think single/preorder in September and album in October seems unrealistic. Single/preorder in September and then album in November is really the only option I see left for this year. (Hoping I’m wrong tho!)

I’ve been an October truther for months now, but I can also see it coming in November. We know there was a date set (September 20th) but we were also told the album wasn’t done and would likely be delayed (I forget what twitter insider said it but hotshot2am confirmed their reliability). She also told Elle in May she wanted to release it this year, so I will cling onto hope as long as possible

It’s been the ‘perfect’ time for her to release all year and it’s still so silent. Before Coachella we thought it was coming (and her team trolled us hard with the western themed chat). Then it was the perfect time after Fenway because was taking 2 months off. Now she has these three shows in August and then there’s nothing after that, so hopefully THIS time will be the right time. Finish these shows out and end Q3 with a single and then album early Q4

I don’t dislike Drew per se, but I do think his solo work with Lana sounds a bit uninspired/one note, but that’s not a Drew exclusive complaint. I think Country Roads is absolutely beautiful, but it’s basically just piano and I think if Lana would have enlisted Drew or Jack to help Zach it would have been elevated a little bit. I think Ocean Blvd is a perfect example of that, a good number of songs have more than one of her producers working together and the songs sound so carefully crafted. I hope Lasso has more of her producers working together, and I want Luke to have a big hand in the production since he’s a Nashville country producer and I think that’s what Lana needs for Lasso to feel as authentic as possible

Nothing will ever be as bad as NFR and that’s a fact. HIAB snippet in early 2018, MAC/VB and album title in September 2018, Hope in January, Doin Time in May, TG/FIILY randomly leaking in July because the release date changed and they couldn’t be bothered to tell google and YouTube, the “album in a few months” comments at her shows, and EVERY single song having a snippet by the time the album came out. I do wish she wouldn’t have posted Henry so early, because it’s turning into this era’s happiness is a butterfly/Tulsa Jesus Freak. Idk why but I’m still hopeful that something will be released this year

Tbh I wouldn’t be 100% opposed to it. I think AI can be another tool used in the music creation process, and artists sooner or later are going to start using it (eminem already used it in his video) I think it just depends how it’s used. I wouldn’t want it to be used lazily as a way for her to not record, but if she recorded something and used AI to transform it I think that could be kinda cool

I don’t get a single notification from her, but get notifications from people I don’t even follow Instagram is so broken lol
