I actually found myself playing this snippet in my head and while I would like it to be good and still am unsure what's gonna come out of it, I cannot comprehend such harsh statements when we haven't heard basically anything from the new record. People want her to be quirky, then she comes with weird childish voices in a seemingly fun pop single, and now they are mad? People hated her lyricism in Man's World and now want her go back? What is going on? Just to remind you, FROOT was not that much well-received once it leaked.

love + fear has some (VERY) nice tunes but SHOULD NOT be listened AS A FULL ALBUM, NEVER. it's a mess of a tracklist and concept. do highly recommend that approach, but of course, marina's always been an era-creator artist so it must feel strange.

Lonely Is The Muse, Dog Years and Arsonist are easily some of my favourites finds this year and I wholeheartedly disagree. No fucking Chappell Roan, Sabrina Something, Charli vroom vroom, even Marina mother nature or Lana jimmy cocoa puff wrote anything like that lately. I don't give a *** about someone thinking she has a main character complex, she's her own explorer and it's her music and from what I've gathered she knows how to write something for people to relate to instead of coming up with tunes that she herself only makes the connections from, unlike some in the industry.
