  1. If Lana were to rerecord AKA the way she did Yayo, she better not touch it ever again.
  2. It's a nice record but saying it's better than Ultraviolence or Honeymoon is barbarism. Another thing is that, for me, this album lacks a banger. I expected at least one, perhaps in the style of Interlude which alone feels so out of place. Dealer ain't that, it is too slow, unfortunately. Something dreamy would work too.
  3. I didn't even like Venice Bitch to begin with. It's not only piano, his electronic sound on NFR! was simply ugly. No offence to him, it's just certain artists don't necessarily match with certain producers. I do like his contribution to Masseduction, Melodrama, Daddy's Home etc. though. Also, Lana's voice is so so much better here. It feels like her again, previously it was if she was trapped someplace else, for real. When I listen to this album now, I might not be fully content with the instrumental sound, but her voice does remind me of Lust for Life or Paradise, finally; I missed her. I am yet after first listen but I quite enjoy this record. Also it's the first time I'm hearing Dealer. Such an interesting tune.

    MARINA (and The Diamonds)

I swear she isn't involved in it at all, it's just David messing around and making her post a lil announcement on Twitter, that's it. Weird how he doesn't even wanna make a proper single cover anymore lmao.

    Adele

Wow, this is terrible. An album track? Ok. A single? LOL.

    AURORA

Not fond of this at the moment. Seems too plain. We'll see.

This album cover was a choice.

    AURORA

soft universe, in bottles, churchyard and all is soft inside sound exactly like something bjork would've made, extraordinarily beautiful and haunting. what a wild journey. it feels like bjork's cold homogenic mixed with aurora's witchy feel it break. i can't get over the fact that these songs are so good but lost with no 'proper' album to be included in.

I take back everything I said about Soft to Be Strong. I really am sorry. This and Highly Emotional People is such a powerful and beautiful duo with Marina at her most vulnerable. I love them so much.

She's writing a new album so early? And we're still getting a deluxe she said. Insane. That's so unexpected of hers seeing that she's the 'laziest ambitious person'. I even felt that Man's World/ADIAML was released too quickly but thought it was just because how ill-received L+F was.

    MARINA (and The Diamonds)

I hope her label doesn't let her do that lmao. They must know damn well how this album successful was and what a buzz it would make to rerelease it with those unreleased tracks. Why does she even have so much creative freedom in the first place. It's insane how she's wasting it. btw I'm afraid she might not add such tracks like miss y and scab and plaster which although wonderful are quite desperate songs and she is happy now and no longer in feud with her dad so perhaps the best we can hope for is e.v.o.l and jealousy added lol

Bubblegum Bitch just got Silver-certified by the British Phonographic Industry! It was already Gold-certified in the US. I still don't get why she didn't make a music video to this, AYS? and Hermit the Frog. A regrettable decision 'cus it wouldn't even involve her, it's just lyrics ma'am...

so we should blame Marina for the way her spotify is so inconsistent?

    MARINA (and The Diamonds)

She's already got 2 songs and she's making more?? I wonder how many we'll eventually get... and what will they even be about? Maybe we'll even get a new single.

    Halsey

I never really was into Halsey, enjoyed just two songs from hopeless fountain kingdom, tried getting into Badlands a few days ago but failed terribly. The new album is suprisingly interesting, however; a really decent record.

    Charli XCX

This song is supposed to be played over and over and that's why it is so rightfully short. Such tracks usually get easily popular, cf. Bubblegum Bitch or Venus Fly Trap, and i don't find it an issue at all.

    Charli XCX

I gave up and listened to Good Ones. It sounds nice, a promising record coming. Out Out is horrible though. Why is it even using the instrumental from that French song I don't know name of but apparently it's popular on TikTok now and how such a sound recycle could climb the charts?

Just heard the snippet from the ad. I need a catchy chorus like this. I'm so excited!

we're waiting for the full song. c'mon merna if you aren't gonna wait till february 2022 to boost the charts then why not release it now?

    Lorde

This is so interesting because I've chosen the same three songs and so many people seem to do the same. These must seriously be the only worthwhile tracks of the record it seems.

to me it sounds like a dream pop tune, something similar to music to watch boys to or saviour, not necessarily a ballad

    Lorde

This happens often when artists make a boring album but they needed to do release them personally. Same happened with Love + Fear that had the most basic sounds and straightforward lyrics in Marina's career but she felt she needed to release it and stated that writing 'easier' lyrics is a sign of happiness and the majority of the fandom was disappointed. She was so excited that she even said it was her best album ever and after everyone dragged her she had to repost tweets about feeling confident no matter what and that she had feelings too et cetera et cetera. The thing is, artists doing such a move have a right to do so but need to acknowledge that their fans might be annoyed and they need to decide if it's a risk they're willing to take. Lorde seems to have done so. Still, the album is pretentious and so cliche'd both thematically and sonically (it feels like a very long, long Venice Bitch) that it is almost ridiculous. However, when we're at this comparison with Marina, she still sang about things most people could find relatable; trying to find happiness, loving someone, being afraid of love, finding life strange, connecting with nature, vulnerability, and human emotions in general. Personal songs of Lorde's about smoking marijuana or saying no to the Californian stardom life is not something that an average listener is gonna relate to and without interesting or catchy sonical background it makes listening harder/worthless. I understand the decision to dedicate an album to healing in nature, but she could experiment more with the production and go more Bjork/iamamiwhoami route instead of another Jack Antonoff boring guitar-filled stuff. I have finished listening and I can say that I like Fallen Fruit and Mood Ring but that's it. Also the intro of The Path is cute. Had she released it in 2017 or so, perhaps it would've been groundbreaking.
