  1. Ugh yes CONGRATULATIONS!! what an accomplishment, and to be released to such freedom and joyous chaos! These next 16 days will be transcendent!
  2. We wake up, curse in 2 different languages, and stream White Dress onwards to For Free on repeat for the foreseeable future
  3. Yessss!!!! Wow ugh the summertime with a St. Vincent album and Chemtrails? Hell yes 2021
  4. Oh my, I just saw @HyperVelvet comment on the pre release thread. We're getting new St. Vincent!?!?!?!? Blessed day!!! if It's only rumored excuse my excitement but YAY!
  5. HAHAHAHAH omfg she is Queen of housework motivation and self care. I've been laughing for ages today at this thread. @ItsACruelWorld never silence your love BB, there are multiple members here that will give you a 6 paragraph breakdown as to why LMLYLAW slaps
  6. Yes!!! Really from that point on the whole song just goes into iconic mode and slays till the outtro. Which i love so much, let's me catch my breath and stare up at the sky-but damn that video outro would've been the final moment too if it were includedddddd......
  7. When she transitions from "I'm still so strange and Wiiiilllld" to "you're in the wind I'm in the waaaater", Windows f*ckin shatter. Walls crumble. Electrical currents disrupted. It's EVERYTHING you just want to scream to the wind when she sings it out. We were never gonna be ready for this album!!!!
  8. I laughed at this and also punched the couch out of reflex. we're so tired indeed. Dedicated, delusional, and so tired.
  9. Ah, the passing of time and the seasons. Anyone else wake up this March 1st and just feel like this wait has now become really easy? Like, 18 days psssshhhh simple. Chemtrails in 18 freaking days and then its bliss!
  10. It's addicting, to Supercut your past, but we all reach a point where the past is most definitely the past, it's chapters written and book long closed. A certain finality to a portion of life we've all lived. I think Lana is really gonna hone in on this in these next years. When she was 23,25-she was so young- as we all were- that to frame experiences and moments in a beautiful, retro format that crystallizes the purity of the portrayed era (not so much the decade itself but it's Hollywood emotions) was a fantastic way to show that. Simplicity in things past. But like we've all basically had to do as we grow, and face this year, she now has a past of her own to reframe and reformat what she interprets as her past/present/future. Her own crystal ball of memories and experiences. I can't wait to see what else this record holds for us.
  11. I..can't even add to this. Such insight. Especially in your mention of individual actions being well intentioned (now in the class this was directly applied to the German population that stood by during the holocaust, a multifaceted argument full of grey circumstances in its own right) but I do believe alot of Lana's hurt has come from people who didn't set out to be villains, and that's why we relate so much (dear God let no one interpret this as me comparing a woman's personal plight to the suffering of millions of innocent souls, cus that's not what I mean!!) As we all grow older with her, the scorn of the moment has turned to the bittersweet nostalgia of yesterday. A chance not to look at your past with rose colored glasses, but a reverence of understanding and longing-maybe to do it right in your head, maybe just to say goodbye to it, but regardless- she is one of the best at taking a moment, and holding it in a light that transcends each form of time, past, present, and future. To serenade something not yet broken, yet shattered ages ago. This is why we love her.
  12. YES. Ugh welcome back. I completely agree in its respect by way of something I learned while studying German expressionism/post war film in college (remedial but I adored it, it was focused here with Margarethe Von Trotta) it's that the personal is political, and Lana excels at this. Her specificity and honor to the story she's telling exposes universal truths that all walks of life can and have experienced. We....we're really winning here aren't we?
  13. Love this. Chemtrails as the physical manifestation of the hidden turmoils of our lives, that can rain invisibly down on even the most cherished family moment. Magnum. Opus.
  14. You know I was literally thinking this but if she formally announced it the next day wouldn't that make it 19 days? And is it my understanding that she mentions 19 in the lyrics? Or is that just one of you chaotic gremlins making my day? ugh the theories! Let them commence!
  15. The way I just had a drink called a fish bowl. We walk home in this drunk town my luv and ughhhh God the celebration!!!!! And she didn't even really say anything?!?! but did anyone else get choked up?? Shit, this song is gonna wreck my mental state. Have at it sweetie!!!! We love Lana! Edit- @Dragon the Chris Evans gifs...whenever they are appropriate to the convo...yes please and more of them always
  16. @Lentilus OMFGGGGGGG OMFGGGGGG YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS COMING MY BABIES ITS. FUCKIN. HAPPENING!!! I was out with friends from a job long past, I'm so ashamed. I just poured a drink let's do this bitches
  17. The only thing getting me through this is the thought that she came back around to the idea of a "surprise" release, which given how much info she's already shared-has essentially made the next 3 weeks just a desert. Here for her doing a digital double release with the covers album. Here for it. Here for it. Here for it!!!! delusion and hope is a damn dangerous thing luvs
  18. Omg The return of Violet. August flashbacks so hard ( still devastating to listen to as well) ughhh I love that she hates us.
  19. Agree completely. Everything Happens has absolutely no business getting so close to home and it's beautiful. That and Stained Glass are the standouts, then Blue, White Rabbit, Default, and Selfish
  20. Just listened to Stained Glass and holy Christmas cookies on a platter, this will do- this will ABSOLUTELY do. Repeat till midnight, ugh thank God for this girl and saving me from a White Dress meltdown
