I remember hearing HTD for the first time live and thought how beautiful that was (with just the piano). The album version came out, and it was not what everyone was expecting .

I know what you mean. She got her teeth done (to fix the chip tooth or maybe something else idk) last year I think. It looks different in this recent pic as well. You know I was complaining about how Bl*e B*niste*s vocal production was kinda poor due to hissing sounds in the songs (and the loudness in some parts of the same song but that’s another topic anyway). Maybe the hissing was caused by her new her lisp and not really the production .

Bl*e B*niste*s will always be tainted because those YouTube rips. She really should’ve just re-recorded those songs or simply don’t include them at all.

Lana voice has the same effects as it was on Ultraviolence (to a lesser extent Honeymoon) and HTD. Old muffled mic effects. It sounds extra jarring next to how Taylor’s vocals were produced (crisp clean pop vocals). I have no idea why they did that. Either both them sing in the old mic to give a warm christmassy feeling or none at all. Having one muffled voice and one not is an interesting choice to say the least. Outsold with ease.

Yep. If she left this as a surprise feature, this whole thing would have turned out completely differently (like Lana’s vocals on Party Monster).

Yep, esp in the streaming era, it’s so easy to just take a listen. I didn’t even care about Taylor or her upcoming album until this collab. She got a bunch of streams out of me.

Jack better be regulated to one or two songs top. I’m here for Jon Batiste. His album “We Are” is great actually. Wouldn’t mind Lana album sounding similar to that (bombastic ). It’s so rich, anthemic, and atmospheric. It’s like a jazzier version of BTD. Jack has lost it. I’m afraid.

The song is so corny like most of Taylor’s music (very Disney Channel’d). I was hoping Lana had more of a sway artistically but nope. The only part I like is towards the ending of the song .

This will not be happening . (I did ended up listening to Taylor’s discography a bit leading up to this leak... The only album I like is 1989 even that has a few duds tbh. Now I can safely remove every trace of her music from my Spotify )

Not really, most albums leak 7 days before release. Actually some even earlier than that. Guess which days it is till Midnights. Her team is exceptional tbh. I’m surprised it hasn’t leaked yet. It should’ve leaked a few days ago.

No One Dies From Love makes no sense and Grapefruit is literally so bad lol. The cringey lyrics is just not for me. It’s just so ham-fisted with no tact at all. It’s Marina-esque. I made it to Grapefuit and just couldn’t continue. Lady Wood is better.
