Fan accounts posting release dates a head of time as fact are annoying af. I don’t understand why they’re doing it when there’s no official announcement made or anything. Taking every insider words as gospel, fabricating their own fictional stories of songs, posting unofficial release dates. Oh, it’s really bad out there. I’m happy her team pulled the release date because these accounts have NO RIGHT to post the release date before Lana did. Also not defending her team because they should have done a better job preventing leaks in the first place. I don’t see Taylor’s release dates leaking. Her team runs a tight ship. At the same time, these fan accounts need to simmer down. At least plaster a big “RUMOR” warning in front of posts.

Her team is smart enough to wait after the Super Bowl. The song will completely be lost in the conversation this week and Rihanna will be flooding the charts. I’m still not happy about them releasing Ocean in December. It was competing with a bunch of Christmas music. Got lost in the shuffle and never recovered quite frankly.

Drew Erickson was the new guy. Blue Tankisters bombed commercially and critically. Now back to Jack (as she should). I was hoping Jon Batiste would produce the whole album, but I’m fine with Jack again. I just hope they take a different direction sonically but unfortunately the first song did not inspire confidence. It’s same acoustic quiet sound she’s been doing for the last 3 albums (including NFR). Where are the bombastic songs????

If they want the album to completely crater then go ahead and release a lot of singles. The debut week streams will be abysmal. Also Track #1 should never ever be a single in the streaming era as that is the first song people press play. It will automatically gets high streams. They should start picking singles at the bottom half of the album if they want to release them.

Notice how it’s crickets from Ben when he and his team were hyping the album to hell and back a few months ago. The first single bombing send them scrambling I fear. They really should’ve taken more people’s opinions before sending out the first song like this. I just know the folks at Tap and Polydor ARE SHOOK. Esp Polydor, all their artists are BOMBING (Ellie Goulding in particular). RAYE (ex Polydor artist) smashing causing them to push Ellie’s album and Miley picking the March 10th date. Now Lana and Ellie’s album are on the same date despite being on the same management and label. A true mess. They are p*ssing their pants. I genuinely feel bad for them.

But I thought Lana was out streaming Miley? How could this be? What’s going awn? There was so much hype going into this era for Lana. Only for it to reduce to… *crickets after everyone heard the song . The song is just too good I fear. Her best song did what it had to do. Miley channeled her energy and revenge perfectly by crafting her song. The GP ATE DEVOURED that up. And Lana? “I want revenge”…said Lana after QFTC. Well, whERE Is IT? …It’s been over a year and TWO ALBUMS later.

Showing her bare nipple is a step too far imo. There are limits, boundaries, and scales. Her music often has a sense of irony to them. National Anthem was the perfect showcase of shallow lyrics representing something much more. Cola as well tbh. Ride was basically prostitution. The image of BTD was very classy but daring. The juxtaposition was very nice. Now it feels laid out. Bare ass nips with titles like American Wh0re. It just feels cheap. Like Miley during her Bangerz era.

Taylor is a mastermind of inoffensive imagery and four-quadrant appeal. She would never. They edit “Fat” out of the Anti-Hero video as soon as the complains start. Taylor doesn’t even have any explicit songs or any songs about sex or drugs or drinking until very recently. I blame her recent relations to Lana Del Rey for this.

Also not a fan of Lana using sexuality to sell. She needs to cater to the conservatives and the retirement homes demographic as well. Not push them away. She just gained more of them through the Taylor collab.

The sample songs she chose are actually so good. It made me very excited for this album despite finding Ocean TANKED unlistenable. It’s the original songs that I’m most cautious about. She’s lost her touch (and marbles) after 2019. She probably knows this, hence all the samples . The album for sure already contains 4 GREAT songs just based on the samples alone. One dud so far (Ocean). The samples are indeed giving low fi beats to sleep/relax/study to and I’m here for it.
