  1. People here saying leaks don’t affect sales . In the streaming era, leaks are more damaging tbh. At least the first week. The initial rush to listen will be gone if it leaks too early as well as the conversation surrounding the album which is very bad. You want as much talk as possible during release week and not to splinter the buzz. Of course, a good album will have longevity regardless but the debut week will be sh*t. The title track and A&W were her biggest Spotify debuts BACK TO BACK for a reason. Anything UNusual with these two releases???? None of them actually leaked a head of time. The song itself never leaked actaully.
  2. Same reason why people blame Ben and Ed (her management) and her label, etc for the lack of promo. When really it’s Lana herself who refuses to promote her music. Dua was under the same management and she’s everywhere. Lana was like that too during BTD.

    Taylor Swift

It’s not too late to release another version. I’m sure Taylor would love that.
  4. It’s not a serve. Why does she look yassified in some shots? The heavy make up with jeans giving suburban mom. A more natural make up with that fit would look a lot better. The dramatic make up with these basic outfits (including that ugly dress ) does not work I’m sorry. Not a fan of the hair either tbh.
  5. Clears any piano songs on Blue Banisters with ease. The Lana features are gonna EAT.
  6. Miss Sam saw the streaming numbers. Ask for credit real quick.
  7. The tracklist is so poetic. Ends his own daughter with ease.
  8. 182K for UV . I think she’ll do 25 - 30 million plus first day streams (with “Sweet” being the most streamed song on the album due to high placement on the tracklist and normal length). She’ll absolutely clear 100K this time I’m certain (but how far can she go?).
  9. That group is a non factor bfr. The fad died along with the pandemic. J.Hope solo album: It debuted at number 17 on the Billboard 200 chart issue dated July 30 (for the tracking week ending July 21) with 25,000 units . RM solo album: The album debuted at number 15 in the United States on the Billboard 200 issue dated December 17, 2022, with 31,000 equivalent album units . Unless Lana is severing Blue Banisters type sales agian. They are a non factor. Her only competition is Morgan Wallen. I don’t even want to mention these people because streaming is so instant and I’m basically doing promo for them just mentioning their names here. People here will get curious and click on their albums giving them free streams.
  10. It’s nothing like Lust For Panned. The features are all snow on the beach level or less. Lana getting credited despite barely being on a song did something to her after working with Taylor. She did not get a feature credit on Party Monster and not a lead on Stargirl despite singing most of it. Now she’s crediting every possible human beings on the album like… Mind you, Dealer and Brooklyn Baby have prominent features. Riopy, AK, SYML are really just writing credits normally. We don’t know if Jon Batiste is even singing on the songs and Father Jon Misty we know will be background vocals. Literally, this is a solo album nothing like Lust For Life.
  11. Why lie? Those songs (except The Other Woman) were very popular and had very good streams and they continue to be popular now. Cinnamon Boy was a fan favorite even before it came out just by the snippets she teased alone. It came out..got amazing streams. Completely ignored again. It did not take them years to be popular bfr. Also a single doesn’t necessarily need to represent the album. There’s no rule for that. The job of a single is to get people to listen or buy the album. A successful single has more chance of attracting more listeners to the album. The hardcore fans will listen to album no matter what.
  12. Miley’s song blew up in part because of the fake stories about Liam Hemsworth. The alternate lyrics could be similar promo for A&W.
  13. Ok, but it makes no difference to the album if VB was single or not. In fact, probably much better as a surprise 10 minute song on the album. The album is still going to be acclaimed. A different song as the first single would have made the album more successful initially but anyways, it worked out in the end because Doin Time was successful. It’s just the GAP would’ve been shortened by a lot, and she didn’t have to wait a year to release the album after the first three songs bombed.
  14. Have you seen its streaming numbers? This is her best performing song on Spotify. Ocean title track did a lot of damage thankfully she recovered. She’s not in another Chemtrails/BB type flop. A&W will literally save this era. The GP is all about first impressions. The first song is so important. They’ve been horrible with it.
  15. Venice Tank was a bomb. Lana even performed the song live at an Apple event with MILLIONS of people tuning in. Seriously, I don’t think it even debut on the Spotify charts lol. Critics loved it but the GP said NO. Mariners, Hope all bombed. That’s what led to Doin Time and the massive gap of her scrambling what to do. Thankfully, Doin Time was a hit. Cinnamon Girl and Happiness Is A Butterfly would have been big hits had they been the first tastes of the album with a video. As you can see their streams now. She/her team are terrible at choosing singles. LMLYLAW shouldn’t have never been a single. It should’ve stayed as an unknown album track. Tulsa was right there. LMLYLAW soured the GP so much even the excellence of Chemtrails (song) can’t be pushed through the flop of the first song. And the way they ignored Dealer smashery has been shocking. Imo, it was a huge mistake releasing the title track as a single. Imagine if we heard A&W first from this album, oh the massive collapse. A&W is definitely one her most instant singles.
  16. The actual play counts aren’t reflecting the song popularity because it’s so long. Take a look at the amount of listeners on Last.fm compared to its scrobbles. There are a lot of people listening but the play count is disproportionately low esp compared to most of the songs on the charts. That’s literally due to its length. You can’t see the amount of listeners on Spoifty (you can through a paid app), but I’m sure it’s same. Also it has weaker playlisting than Tunnel, unfortunately that’s just how it is due to it being the second song/single not the lead. Ocean Blvd was the most payola’d song in Lana’s career. With that said, Sweet and Paris, Texas are smashes waiting to happen. A&W is more of an album seller. I’m sure she will open with big numbers on the back of A&W alone.
  17. What’s going on with her Spotify? Why did they add a random remix to Born To Die? https://open.spotify.com/album/4X8hAqIWpQyQks2yRhyqs4?si=pz_phCPkTo69N38ujPCWQw
  18. I love the muddier vocals at the beginning. It really makes the second part euphoric when it clears up.
