@@ilovetati Well, I'm not the most experienced with concerts, even if I've been to a few. Although I did get hard copy tickets at first, they accidentally got thrown away at one point, and I had to call Live Nation in order to redeem my tickets, which I then printed at home. How I was supposed to know this incident would happen, when they scanned my paper tickets just fine at the actual entrance just to get into the venue, is honestly beyond me (Continued) After half an hour of panicking, the merchandise lady finally led me to the Guest Services Booth. From there, the lady at that booth doubted my valid tickets & then reluctantly scanned something while she chuckled at my over-worrying. 5 minutes later, I jog back to the pit entrance line where the lady at that line gave me a "Sorry" & by then I thought I would be in the back of the pit. Somehow, I ended up being 2nd row on the far left side. But IMO, the setup of the actual barricade-stage layout was weird. Instead of the magical Lana stairs being close to the center, they were on the end of the right side, which meant rows & rows of people were crowding at the entrance to the pit on the right. It was like half a thermometer instead of like a bell curve shape. Knowing that Lana usually met people on the left side (her right) first, I went to the left side, & later got pushed up to the barricade. ALSO, despite this being 1 of the largest shows on this tour (& the largest concert I'd ever been to), the pit was LESS than HALF full for Courtney Love. Granted, 20k people were seated/on the lawn, but certainly people were either super late due to the HORRENDOUS traffic, or just very disinterested in Courtney. Most people had never heard of her, let alone knew she was Kurt Cobain's ex-wife, let alone listen to some of her songs. Courtney was surprisingly funny & overall aggressively awesome. But she didn't feel safe with not enough gays in the crowd! The crowd came very close to booing her off for playing "too long", but the following moment alone was worth skipping my prom for: In the middle of her set, Courtney & her band were throwing stuff at the audience. Courtney stopped playing her guitar and started throwing roses at the audience. Then, she & her bassist came over to where I was. I put up my sign that said "I SKIPPED MY PROM & DAD'S GRADUATION FOR YOU" and simply smiled. She put one finger up in the air & had 2 roses left. She threw the first one too far. Then some Courtney fans started pushing me out of the way. I dropped my poster, & Courtney went REALLY gentle on me & just threw her rose so lightly, but it JUST missed me, and I tried grabbing the rose tight, but it went to the girl who claimed she starred in one of Courtney's music videos when she was 7. That was when Courtney got upset & screamed into the mic only how Courtney can "Oh come on, don't be such an asshole! Give that rose to the kid who skipped his prom dad's graduation for ME!!! And Miss---Lana-Del-Rey!!!" By the way, the girl never gave the rose to me. She snickered & said "I actually like her music." And although I don't know Courtney as well as Lana, I just thought how would this fan know? And thus was the start for what was a bizarre but slightly underwhelming show for me....but perhaps this is too long. (To be continued)

Ok! So this is going to be a very long post & definitely overshadowed by tonight's much more well know Hollywood Bowl show: I was freaking out until the last minute about whether I was even going to be able to go to the concert or not. I got to the venue at 12:30 and was #124 in line. I eventually won everyone in line over about the struggle stories I had just finally being able to see Lana, and of course, seeing her, in person, with the LITTLE RED PARTY DRESS on made me even more hyped! The weather kept transitioning from really hot to really windy, and I had overpacked, and I eventually gave away all my sharpies to security. Eventually as thousands more came, our one line was split into 5 lines, and yes, all the non-VIP people were let in at the same time. But even the VIP people got in later than usual due to whatever security delay there was: the VIP people finally got in at 6:30 instead of 5:30, and then everyone else went in at 7:15! Now call me entitled since I skipped prom night AND my father's graduation ceremony (with his permission!), but I was aware of how crazy the crowd would become. As soon as security made the announcement, people pushed the 5 lines up so fast I almost lost all my stuff. They used multiple entrances too, and while people were sprinting & sneaking their way into the pit, I was stuck in the one mini-line that was slowed down. Presumably because security caught someone in the front with drugs/alcohol. 2 minutes later, I jog my way to the line in order to enter the pit. When I got up to the front of this line, however (AND WARNING TO ALL WHO MAY FACE THE SAME SITUATION) apparently the staff would NOT accept the paper tickets I printed at my home! They told me "We're sorry but we are unable to scan paper tickets. We need actual hard copy tickets. I'm afraid you'll have to go to the other side of the venue to trade these for hard copy tickets." After waiting in line that long, I was (understandably) frustrated. I asked the venue as many safety questions as I could 3 times and they never replied to my voicemails. I wasn't fighting them, but I was starting to have a mental breakdown as I scrambled through crowds to this guest services booth. I asked other staff who also didn't know where guest services was. So eventually I just bought my merch (the velvet poster & lyric book! $80) & told some girls my story. (to be continued)

Phoenix, AZ @ Ak-Chin Pavilion - May 14th, 2015
FLA to the Moon replied to MinigunsNRoses's topic in 2015 Endless Summer Tour
Did anyone have to break curfew just to meet Lana AFTER the show? -
If you have pit tickets but not silver vip, literally wait the night before if possible, or as early as you possibly can. If Tinley park is in an isolated area you can get there a bit later if it's hard to reach. If you have silver vip, you should definitely still get there before noon. Even then, at the Houston show today 20 silver vip people were in line by 6 AM!!!
-
I just checked the page for the Chula Vista show May 16 and as of right now there are Pit Tickets but No VIP packages! If anybody's going to the San Diego show...just letting you know !
-
I don't know if anybody noticed besides me but on Instagram, Ryn Weaver liked a photo of PEARL
-
I believe that the Silver VIP people pick up their merchandise items at will call (at the box office) and then they line up separately from the not Silver VIP people @@Bae

I WOULD BUY a Shades of Cool T shirt too!!!
-
Grimes is magnificent...and also maybe it was just me, but did anyone notice the pin symbol at the corner of the poster? Lana tagged the designer of the poster. His name is KII ARENS
-
She's in my city a couple weeks from now!!!
-
So much shade thrown at Trixie during this week's untucked!!! And Pearl was giving Marilyn Monroe realness. Banging
-
@@iseeyouupsidedown PEARL is my favorite out of this whole bunch too, and not just because she's my type outside drag. I'm obsessed with her whole style now, and she has even redefined how to sashay down the runway...She actually seems really nice to me so I don't understand why the other queens are shading her! When Sasha said Pearl was the weakest queen I shouted "F UUUUUU" at the TV too. Violet Chachki (with the tartan outfit and the BREATHING PUMP LOOK) slayed me and I am IN LOVE with the fishier looking queens this season! I think both of their own personal styles give them a killer edge ahead and I have discovered all I ever wanted outta this show in this season's queens. Ginger is indeed a glamour toad, MAX is out of this world, and Kandy Ho is not off to a good start. I also really admire Tempest's personality!

Have you listened to his previous album "Fear Fun"? It's just as brooding. I really like FJM's old Christain-Byzantine like imagery. And I played "Bored In The USA" for my school's scholarship lady. She laughed with the laugh track. Creative twist on music. I wish I could see him in concert, but his shows in my state are 21+!

The days that the Grammys and the VMAs are on are the two days the Stan culture comes out in full force. Don't forget that there have been many looked over contenders that turned out to have more legendary music stand the test of time than whoever won. And Sam Smith said he would give his GRAMMY to Beyoncé if he won "Album of the Year", according to the new York Daily news. And I already have Azealia Banks's comments on the GRAMMYs on my mind since Iggy will probably win an award.

WARNING: this is gonna be a long post... I like Marina's music and her psychological underbelly as well, although I have to say that Lana fans have been nicer to me on the Internet and I listen to Lana a little bit more. To be honest, I have to catch up A LOT on this new era even though I've been listening to her for 2 1/2 years now. I was really bummed when I wasn't able to see Marina with Charli XCX before she boom clapped her way to the top back in May 2013. The San Diego show on April 18 is IDEAL for me but the whole presale thing isn't (I already brought this up on MarinaBoards but no one responded to me. I JUST joined go figure ) My dad's birthday is the day after this show. It's the weekend right after my spring break, which is still manageable. I live about a half hour away from the venue. There's a parking garage next to the venue. There's also a secret entrance since there's a separate bar connected to the venue. And if I'm unable to get tickets, my friend, who's mom likes Marina, might be able to buy 2 extra tickets for my sister and I. And the tickets are $22.50!!! My issues are this: There's no info on when the pre-sale ends. The North Park Observatory in San Diego can hold up to 1200. I know Marina's fans are hardcore, but does anyone have a prediction as to how fast these very special FROOT shows may sell out? I also heard they might only be for the hardcore fans according to Marina's FAQin HELL video? I have a Spanish presentation to make half an hour before the pre-sale on Friday morning, and then I have a test in my Government class half an hour after the pre-sale starts. I might have to bring my laptop to school, be the first student to do my Spanish presentation, go to the school library, connect to the Internet, and then just hope for the best. Has anyone ever bought concert tickets while at school? And what's the trick to pre-sales? 100 days until I see Lana Del Rey...and 73 more days if I'm able to see Marina & the Diamonds!!!

I so would if I could drive or fly up to Washington from California and if they had single passes!

Sorry for bringing this older post back up again, and sorry for the following, but I'm still so amazed at how famous they got since the summer of 2013. Every photo of their crowds seem so gigantic, and people wait even longer for their shows than Lana's shows. One regret I'm going to have unless I meet them somehow now that they're way more famous is not being able to have seen them in an 18+ bar September 2013 because I was a minor. They came back to my city on Thanksgiving and people were camping out the afternoon before just to hit barricade. A friend of mine waited 14 hours and managed to get in the 5th row! Honestly the 1975 are a sweet group but I still don't fully realize their vision but then again I don't have all of their music...that probably explains this micro dilemma

@@Creyk Absolutely right. The music is the core soul of this entire vision, and the imagery that is created from the music is the structure. Mind (the amazing quality of music Lana puts out) over matter (all this bittersweet but necessary talk about Lana's position.) I really feel like us Lana fans needed to bring up the stanning situations, but it just doesn't seem fair to pit Lana up against those divas when she is obviously even more unique and refreshing. I need to make a post y'all about how fed up I got with little monsters on twitter and all only caring about sales and promo. Please everybody try not to blow Lana's lack of promo (she's still going to shine in the limelight) up to ARTPOP proportions---you will only become more disappointed. And also more distraught for almost no reason whatsoever. Lana knows her creations best and despite how much I want her to succeed in the midst of the pop culture "wars", can't we be certain that Lana's legacy will endure far longer than the hype of now? Cherish more than just the charts people. After all, the most inspiring people in Lana's life didn't slay 24/7 and stay up on the charts---they all needed artistic reevaluations to consistently give us fans the best art and the best music and the most sublime creations possible.- 195 replies

Honestly no those were just her other collaborations and I could never tell Charli was half indian-ugandan. I don't follow either charli or iggy that much so I'm not sure if the charli xcx board knows

Oh yeah, my video production teacher's son got to help film her music video for "PU$$Y" way back when. She got to be at the shooting too. her son very briefly talked and he told our whole class " she was very mentally challenged and just a naturally nasty spirit"

I hope I don't get called a racist for pointing this out, but does anyone find it unusual that Iggy's hits are nearly all collabs with other white artists (and T.I)? I noticed Azealia Banks forgot to bring this point up in her now infamous HOT 97 interview "Fancy" with Charli XCX "Black Widow" with Rita Ora "Beg For It" with MO (sorry, my computer isn't letting me copy and paste the O with slash on here) "Heavy Crown" with Ellie Goulding Other exceptions "Trouble" with Jennifer Hudson and "DRUGS" with YG (<-the song with the "runaway slave master" line)

I have to get into this band still. I just started getting into them too. They are supposedly the #1 up and coming band that people want at Coachella 2015, and my friend got to be up close to them at their gig in San Diego this past October. Aaaaah!
