shes alluded to “explaining it all” so many times- at this point who knows. I don’t want to rag on her since who knows, she may have been going through it for the past few years, but any sense of real interest or urgency has been lost at this point IMO.

i really hope lana brings more of her sound/sonic world into the rest of the covers– summertime is such a traditional cover in that it doesn't really add anything new to the story of the song. i can appreciate lana staying true to the source material but i so much love the other woman and the good life and was hoping for more of that sound on this record. which i am choosing to believe will come out before the end of the year bc

yes!! i was disappointed by the pop2 merch drop today (but also honestly relieved bc my bank account isn't having it). would love her to do some more unique merch items rather that just (mostly) t shirts. a pop2 vinyl repressing would be so good but probably hard to do atm. absolutely iconic, some of my fav charli looks of all time

she wrote on an IG story that apple music cleared all the samples for her already, whereas she has to get those same samples cleared by her own people or whatever for other streaming services. it'll be on other platforms soon i think.

my guess is she liked this version of the live vocal best of all the takes they did for this shoot, and then they overlaid that take on top of her fav image/screen takes from filming.

i think what people mean (and what i meant) was that i wish the vocals were live. seems like she got a live take of the vocals she liked and overlaid them onto the performance or something
