Anyways I was driving home from work, and I played Fresh Out The Slammer with the roof off my car and I totally get why she released this album in April. The standard 16 tracks are a summer afternoon and The Anthology tracks are a rainy/stormy summer night.

oooh do you have The Anthology as a separate album? I’ve debated doing that, I just don’t like the track order of TA on its own.

Taylor really baited Billie. In the last 24hrs Billie’s released a new version of a track, discounted her 5 day old album at retailers and on iTunes, and is hosting streaming parties. And just 72 hours ago her rep said “Billie doesn’t care about the charts”

huh? I’m so sorry I have no clue what you mean. I said she picks her lead singles based on the fact that they sound the least like the prior album to make each era feel distinct. In this case, Fortnight sounds least like any tracks off of Midnights…??

ICDIWABH literally is the most Midnights sounding song on the album. Did you misread my post lol?

I think it’s because it’s the most different sounding track on the standard album from Midnights that isn’t a ballad. She really wants to start eras off with the most distinct sound possible, and I think that perspective really makes her (often times questionable) lead single choices more understandable.

I collect jewel cases so I don’t like the Japan 7” much BUT I don’t want to pay ~$100 for it on Discogs if it’s gonna be sold for like $15 at the merch stands lol
