my thoughts on the rock candy sweet case: BOZ said she really liked the rock candy line and recycled it from the song Rock Candy Sweet, thus confirming WCE is not in fact RCS. However I do remember seeing on here a week or so ago that Loved You Then and Now is an old song Lana's been sitting on and is different from Rock Candy Sweet. Heres my guess, she clearly liked the rock candy sweet line, and a lot of NFR, Chemtrails, and BB was recorded one after the other so im sure theres some overlap there. so she put the rock candy line in WCE as well, but i do think that Loved You Then and Now, when it was intended for chemtrails, was one song, then she reworked it a lot and turned it in to title track Rock Candy Sweet, and then when the album changed directions, she scraped it all together and made the album BB So in my mind there is Loved You Then and Now, and old song shes had for years AND a reworked version thats very different (ala Beautiful People, TNBAR etc) thats titled Rock Candy Sweet

ah okay thank you! i was listening to one of her singles and she said something like "I can only get so close to looking like how l want to be" or something like that and i didnt know if she was/had been transitioning or not. thanks for clearing that up! didnt want to have a kim pretras & slayyyter moment haha

i think the only high energy offically studio released song lana has ever done is off to the races. the rest that arent really slow songs can be classified as "up beat" high energy in the music world is like a pop song for example. but then again i never listen to lana for a high energy moment hahaha

this album is absolutely amazing, i was listening to the instrumentals yesterday for the first time and just wow, they all have this nostalgic feel to them like a memory from the past trapped in the arrangements. my sole critique of this album would be with the tracklist. I dont think anything should be scrapped however I DO think some additions should have been made, firstly the Loved You Then and Now (aka Rock Candy Sweet) should have been on it for sure, it was on the original handwritten tracklist in the pic from the studio she recorded in, it just made sense. Also Dealer should have been on and it should've gone in between not all who wander & yosemite (you might think dealer into yosemite doesnt work, ive tested it, it works sooo good. especially the outro of dealer "the circuits are busy, you're high!" and the spoken part of yosemite "i remember watching, how green was my valley" just are so good together ahhh) And finally, the Yes to Heaven rework should have been on it idc. the album already has so many religious references. it was a shame for her to keep it off the record especailly since she reworked it. With all these additions it would make the album a 14 track album making it an equal follow up to NFR

i do like dealer dont get me wrong its a fabulous track but its way more of a split artist song than it is a lana del rey song.

I dont know WHAT got into her when she made song chemtrails over the country club but i NEED a song with that same energy on LDR9...that song alone WASHES any song on chemtrails or blue banisters
