question, did LDR village mention anything about a BTD/Paradise repress for the anniversary?? my friend said he saw someone post about it on twitter but i havent seen anything so im guessing it was a troll

Beautiful 8. Violets for Roses 9. Dealer 10. Thunder 11. Wildflower Wildfire 12. Sweet Carolina I think this tracklist is the perfect follow up to Chemtrails, and keeping Thunder since it was reworked to fit Blue Banisters perfectly, and keeping If You Lie Down With Me because we had never heard it before and it also fits the album very well (I do think the all the unrleased songs Lana included fit, however this is just a "fat free version") Decided to cut The Trio because Arcadia into Black Bathing Suit sounds really nice as is. Also Wildflower Wildfire into Sweet Carolina is soooo interesting due to the drastic change in tone between the two songs, one about her issues with her own mother, the other a song for her sister who is going into motherhood!

ok so heres my thoughts on her clearly working with Jack again for LDR9: Jack can clearly give us a banger of an album, look at NFR (he also did Melodrama & Reputation and some amazing tracks on Lover). I think what soured people on him was Chemtrails, and honestly I think that album would have been on FIRE had the pandemic never happened. I really wish Lana had waited a bit longer for the pandemic to clear up and for her to get more studio time with jack for the songs on chemtrails. The first 4 songs were so good because they were done and ready pre-pandemic, and then the rest struggled with the fact Lana and Jack couldn't meet and get in the studio together (hence why the end of chemtrails seems more half assed and she started contemplating putting older songs like Dealer on it to fill up space) Now that lana has jack all to herself and in person, and the fact he spent his literal birthday in the studio for lana...they HAVE to be coming up with something good, its giving the little insta live videos we had of them working in the studio on How to Disappear etc! Im VERY EXCITED

I have SUCH a feeling about this upcoming record. i think lanas been IN her bag for a while now and Blue Banisters was just something she felt she NEEDED to put out to tell her story hence the lack of newer songs and more older good tracks that never found a home. Like she got to put out Black Bathing Suit, Text Book, BB, Wildflower and such which she made somewhat overlapping chemtrails recording sessions, but now shes cooking up fresh music for a brand new album and.... i think the implications will be DEADLY

Ok idk about y’all but this tropico ep concept is SO INTERESTING to me. Like it makes so much sense that I Talk To Jesus was supposed to go there. God what a missed opportunity that was. and with the early versions of those UV songs (black beauty & money power glory) she could have replaced them on the actual UV with dans versions of yes to heaven and fine china and your girl!!! Ugh that would have been a blessed timeline

my thoughts on the rock candy sweet case: BOZ said she really liked the rock candy line and recycled it from the song Rock Candy Sweet, thus confirming WCE is not in fact RCS. However I do remember seeing on here a week or so ago that Loved You Then and Now is an old song Lana's been sitting on and is different from Rock Candy Sweet. Heres my guess, she clearly liked the rock candy sweet line, and a lot of NFR, Chemtrails, and BB was recorded one after the other so im sure theres some overlap there. so she put the rock candy line in WCE as well, but i do think that Loved You Then and Now, when it was intended for chemtrails, was one song, then she reworked it a lot and turned it in to title track Rock Candy Sweet, and then when the album changed directions, she scraped it all together and made the album BB So in my mind there is Loved You Then and Now, and old song shes had for years AND a reworked version thats very different (ala Beautiful People, TNBAR etc) thats titled Rock Candy Sweet
