This!! He often ignores the inflection of her voice when it’s pertinent to the song’s meaning: when she’s being satirical, somber, hopeful, sarcastic, etc. Not to mention I’ve seen him praise songs with WAY worse lyricism…don’t get me started on how he treated Ultraviolence

Same! Do I like those specific lyrics I mentioned? Not as much, but I think her delivery of the words can be just as important, and Fantano seems to overlook that consistently in Lana’s discography, sadly

I’ve seen a few reviews on metacritic, and they’re largely complimentary so far! It seems like critics are making most of the same critiques and praises as people on LB (which is rare imo lol)

Assuming it’s a universal issue, I really hope her management catches it before it’s released everywhere! I have no idea how that works, though lol

When reviewing Chemtrails, Mojo Magazine mentioned this artist in the “Lana Del Rey alphabet” list, and I personally feel it’s so similar to Lana’s early work If you like Fordham Road by Lana, you might like this one! I’d love if she covered it

I’m really interested to see which of my opinions change after listening from start to finish in full quality! There were a handful of songs I wasn’t huge on, but I have a feeling that might change after the production is a little clearer & when I tell y’all I’m going to be obsessed with Sweet Carolina….
