I really don't know what to expect from Lana in terms of promo/aesthetics/MVs etc this time cause she's too unpredictable. Chemtrails was one of her most lowkey album cycles yet it gave us one of her higher budget MVs since the BTD/Paradise era I hope we get at least a promo picture soon (maybe with that beautiful blue dress )

WAIT A SECOND. In the Neil post someone asked if it was for Lana and there's a little icon saying Neil liked the comment but I can't actually see the likes. Can someone confirm is not just a glitch?

I hope "near completion" means that it's getting mixed and mastered (or to be delulu, vinyl being pressed) as we speak cause if she's still recording it's further than we think. By the way do albums usually get mastered and mixed only when they are finished? Cause she usually records over a long period of time so maybe they do that in batches every time they finish some songs. I guess they will still need to do the finishing audio engineering touches when they have the whole thing so it sounds "cohesive" at least in volume and all that... but I'm clueless about how that stuff works

Neil is barely active on Twitter. His last tweets are from May (and a RT about UV anniversary in June) so for him to post the pic there... it HAS TO mean something I've been (over)analyzing the picture and it looks like a huge wave crashing into a mountain (that looks like a volcano with that lava-like red flare). It's the representation of fury and anger... just like Lana described the record

As long as the album is done and she has a real release date (even if she doesn't announce it) I wouldn't mind if she starts releasing stuff while the vinyl process takes place even if it's some months before the album. She's probably going her usual route of releasing a random song to introduce the album with the real single coming later (even though I'd love a full promo traditional rollout like LFL) so I can see something coming before the year ends (or even in September if Neil's post means anything)

I think he just likes a bit of attention from us (not a bad thing tho) cause only industry people and stans of his clients follow him so it's not like he's doing promo by posting there It's giving dad energy and it's kinda cute

I'm once again here to remind you that Neil teased a "secret photoshoot" back in May and he is never so secretive about his work (he's actually the opposite always tagging people) so it had to be for someone big

I think it just means "incoming" (which has been since April it seems ) but I wouldn't be against another space-y themed era. Maybe she's riding a rocket in the cover

It makes sense that insiders are silent/clueless cause she probably hasn't formally submitted anything to her label yet. She may have all the songs she wants already and a tracklist and title but until her label gets the info it's still in her inner circle (which would be harder to access unless the insiders came from the producers' teams). For example BOZ knew about RCS/BB tracklists cause at some point they were official but he couldn't know what she was actually recording at that time. Of course the label is aware of the new album and how it sounds and all that but until it's set in stone and officially registered somewhere it's really hard for that data to leak

Came here to say Ben and I'm glad I'm not the only one . Honestly almost all of the laptop demos and acapella songs we have have some potential. Maybe not the hot potato song but there's a lot of interesting melodies and lyrics in those tracks. I still listen a lot to C U L8R Alligator and its unofficial studio version. For the newer tracks... I'd like to listen to the whole LA Who Am I song and even if it's mostly instrumental the melody is so catchy... I wish she made it a full song.

I love that we don't know anything about the music other than "Drew added orchestra". Chemtrails had an extensive description months before it came out with the Interview magazine and BB had 3 early singles pretty representative of the album's sound but LDR9 is a blank canvas right now. I expect something similar to the newer BB songs but with a more cinematic feel but at this point we can only speculate so anything could happen. She described the lyrical content and topics but she didn't say anything about the actual sound of it and that's very exciting cause I love surprises

And they are even having a back and forth with (probably) themselves saying it's bad and she should scrap it

If we ignore Ben's comments the timeline of this album makes so much sense: - She told us she had some songs she loved in the BB release livestream (October) - She allegedly said the next album is even better in December - In May we got some details about an album that's in the works. With how she talked about it it seemed that she had a clear concept and quite a lot of songs already but it was still untitled (something weird for Lana) so it was probably not fully finished. Maybe she recorded a lot of stuff and she wasn't sure what was going to make it into the record. It would make sense for it to come out sometime early next year if we account for the finishing touches + vinyl production. Insider silence also makes sense considering she probably hasn't done any official label stuff yet. And now for my delulu theory which I'm always going to include

Realistically I expect it to come out in February or March of 2023 but I still think a late fall release could be possible (if the album is done already). I find it so weird that we had so much teasing this spring and it suddenly stopped in June tho... If I get really delusional I can also see it coming in September with just one single a couple of weeks before the album but I doubt that they managed to keep the whole thing secret until now

That's probably what's going to happen... Maybe it was a working title for LDR9 at one point but I have the feeling she may have scrapped what she had and started from scratch this year. If it was truly album related it was probably the title (it would make no sense to wear a random album track song) and that last thing we know is that she had no title (anymore). If it's a song I hope it ends up on the tracklist cause I need to know
