My only hope of it coming soon (other than Ben's comments) is that in the W Magazine she talked about it being a wordy and conversational album and she even has an opener already... so she's either still working on the finishing touches (and probably adding last minute songs ) or the vinyl is being pressed as we speak and she didn't announce anything yet so we don't have another long rollout. A lot of artists are announcing now albums for October/November accounting for the vinyl process so maybe that's the case for Lana too but she decided to stay silent until it's closer I'd still expect something soon cause labels probably want at least a couple of months of preorder period to gather as much sales as possible tho... they are definitely not letting her announce it too close to the release

Do labels usually try to space out their artists' releases? Cause Ellie just released a single and they are both under Polydor (they even have the same manager ) She's probably not putting out an album anytime soon tho so if that was the case it wouldn't really be a problem and Lana is probably a higher priority anyway. The point (that I can never get straight into sorry) is that maybe now that another one of their big artists released the following on the schedule is Lana This was all based on delusion cause I'm starting to think the album was indeed untitled in May and not even finished (a part of me is still holding on to hope tho

I think after BB she realized she could slowly release her favorite leaked songs throughout her albums so I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case I'd like if she only added 2 as max (or just release them all separately as a side project) but at the end of the day they are still her songs so as long as she doesn't scrap new material to make space for them I'm not against it

For artists that seek high peaks yes so they have a whole tracking week for the charts but artists that don't really care or expect a big debut drop them whenever. It's usually even better to not drop on a Friday cause the songs don't get lost into the ocean of singles that come out every friday Lana has released on Wednesdays, Thursdays and some Fridays so we'll never know when to expect something from her unless she explicitly announces it early

I wonder towards who she's directing her anger on LDR9 cause when it's family stuff (WFWF) she sounds more sad than angry and the songs for the media (like BBS or FMWUTTT) are more in an ironic/funny way... Her truly angry songs seem to be directed mainly towards exes (or at least that archetype of person). Or maybe it's in an existential way like Tired Of Singing The Blues If the new record is truly conversational, wordy and angry I'm sure she's going to say sooo much interesting stuff (and it doesn't look like she's going to censor herself at all

I feel like unless something was coming literally this week it's normal that he's still clueless so I'm not worried about the album not coming anytime soon BOZ is the one that gets stuff the earliest cause whoever his source is knows about her label's movements (like the different RCS/BB tracklists and when he knew about WCE being submitted for something I don't think that he was told to stay silent by her team and he probably liked that tweet cause he thought it was funny that people were speculating about that so this situation is still weird I guess we just overanalyzed everything and the album is still coming soon but not that soon

I'm so excited for the album title, they are always so good and evocative. Even BB which sounded very simple at first made so much sense once we heard the title track I hope we get another interview soon cause I can't believe she hasn't revealed it yet

Maybe there was some delay or something cause it's weird that Ben would say "music in the works" in May and then "new music incoming / new album coming soon" in June for not even an announcement or single to be out already I don't think he would tease that much in such rapid succession if stuff wasn't actually imminent but who knows... it's still July so maybe we're just some weeks away from something

I'd be more surprised if it isn't at this point But there are so many types of ballads anyway
