I'm glad we're getting so much info cause that 2012-2014 period is the most mysterious one on Lana's timeline. Next would be the pre LFL alleged hundred concept demos and the post LFL/pre NFR stuff... but we'd need another thread for that

I don't mind LMLYLAW getting simpler production, the biggest loss for me is the fact that she picked the best part of the song and relegated it to the bridge That melody deserves to be played at least twice on the track not once (even though it has so much bridge energy that I can't imagine it as a prechorus unless it was rerecorded and the delivery was different ofc)

What if the long acronym is actually 2 songs in 1 I guess boz would have dropped some clues and he didn't mention anything about it when describing the song but I can't imagine that long ass title being just one sentence I'd say the title is 2 or 3 separate sentences like GPS - The Story of (...) - HDSF

But it's true tho. She wanted fame and to get recognized in her early days and when she got it with BTD she realized it was not for her and that's why she tries to keep a lower profile now. She's not 24/7 talking and crying about it in interviews. She mentions it every now and then and in some of her songs but that's what music is for, to express herself. It's clear that all she wants now is to release music and if she wasn't signed to a major label I'm sure we wouldn't be getting anything other than the actual music as a ~ yearly digital drop.

I'm really curious cause I feel they'll be really close. Miley will probably have the streaming advantage (specially if she has a hit around the album release) but I think Lana sells more physical. I have high expectations for both albums so it's going to be a good day for music anyway

She usually puts at least some of the singles at the start of the album so we're probably getting one of the tracks we know already I can't wait to listen to A&W but I don't know if I'd prefer to listen to it with the whole record or as a single

The new stuff can come at any time now I'd love another single this month but I'd settle with just the tracklist and/or the album trailer and the new song coming in February

It's probably the biggest representative of the automatic singing thingy on the album so I have high hopes (and a lot of curiosity ). It can be great or a mess but the snippet sounds good and boz praised it (I don't trust his taste but the fact that he didn't straight up hate it is a good sign)

I'd say mid January. They'll probably want to release at least one single close to the album date for promo purposes but I don't think she'll stay silent until then so another song in between makes sense (and January feels like the most logical and properly spaced out date). If we go with the Chemtrails rollout as an example we got LMLYLAW early, Chemtrails in January and White Dress in March

Can't we just ask Ben to send the tracklist to stores and platforms? Lana probably won't post it (I bet she forgot or thinks it's out there already) and since vinyl won't be ready til March I don't think they will update the preview with the back cover anytime soon... We only got the BB one cause it was hidden in the store before the preorder so I doubt she's holding onto it for secrecy reasons. If she doesn't post the back cover on reveal we just don't get it

My theory (from my thoughts and what we have info about) is that she wanted the followup of BTD to be a full album with the Paradise tracks + the early UV songs and name it Tropico (I think honeymouns said this) but the label rushed her to rerelease BTD instead with fewer songs and that's what we got (and that's probably why she didn't record all the songs until after P release) She released the Tropico EP just to use the name and get her way and since BB, JFK & co. leaked she scrapped the whole concept and moved on to the final UV

I know but you usually write the melody according to the chords you're using so it makes sense for it to be similar too and it's only part of the verses. I actually think that chorus is better than the MAC one It's the same situation as the countless songs sounding like Last Christmas while being unreleated to it.

Not to start another Jack hate narrative but he always uses the most basic chord progressions it's only natural that there are a hundred similar songs out there with a similar guitar work No one could replicate Rick's guitar on Yosemite for example (only themselves on Dragon Slayer )

It used to be CFY but we have it now I wouldn't mind hearing Dark City and that other song but I'm happy with what we have already

I still think the single cover is from a MV or at least some kind of simple visualizer like MAC/VB. From Neil's description it looks like the one take photoshoot in my room was the clear concept they wanted for the album visuals so if they changed location it has to be for something different (or maybe it's just from a scrapped first photoshoot )

When we expected soft rock and ballads and she brings back the trap beats I think it's just going to be something subtle like a chord progression and that's it. Maybe it's so subtle that BOZ only realized now and that's why he teased it today

I don't think she has to cause she probably writes 99% of the melodies and lyrics herself and the cowriting credits come from the production side (which since it's still melody some artists like Lana choose to credit on writing too). I guess it would be simpler to just put the whole original credits Wait... maybe she just samples the title track

Based on the credits it has to be something from NFR onwards or maybe an old laptop demo that doesn't have any cowriter attached Cause even if it's subtle I'm sure Lana would credit the people that originally worked on the song
