Yeah there's no way she stays quiet until March. We'll probably get a "proper" lead single early next year with a MV and maybe even an album trailer a bit later I take the title track as a gift to accompany the preorder and album reveal. From a financial/promo point of view it's also better to release things slowly (like once every month) to keep the interest alive and remind people every now and then that she's putting out an album. She usually does this thing of releasing an early song like Honeymoon, MAC & VB (those were too early tho ), the triple singles... and then disappear for a while until the release is closer. This era is going really smoothly for now so I expect great things coming on the months leading to the album

Do we think Honeymouns will leak something interesting for Christmas? I don't know if they'll keep the grinch theme and stay silent because of what happened last time or if they'll try to compensate

I think someone reliable said something about electric guitars? I hope we get the production credits soon cause I need Zach on more songs

I think it will be varied while still having a cohesive sound similar to her latest stuff. Like we're probably getting some piano ballads, some slow but orchestral songs (like the title track) and some "upbeat" or midtempo stuff, not necessarily bops like FIILY or Doin Time, but still more energetic than the rest. Since A&W is supposed to be experimental and a new side on production I guess it will be one of those different and more lively tracks

I don't think Lana's issue with Lorde was mainly that she "copied" her or whatever it was more about the fact that she stated that her music was a bad influence She also shaded a lot of other artists just as she blew up. She has always been an annoying pretentious person

There's probably a lot of ballads on the album but it depends on your definition of ballad If you mean piano focused I guess only the Drew and Jon tracks will be like that

After the longer snippet I won't be that mad anymore if California wins but I still prefer CFY. We went through madness in that thread to get it and this is our last chance I don't think the losing song is going to leak

California is probably great too but the snippet doesn't have the HM outtake vibes that CFY has and that makes it less iconic And she lowkey sounds off key on the snippet

Honestly I don't think the Sean thing is that bad Yeah it's petty but it's also fun and it's not like she's stalking him outside of his house or something. You can move on and still be shady sometimes towards people

When no insider talked about California (HM) cause it's a 1 minute concept demo they forgot about the very same moment they listened to it

After months of waiting for it it's just fair for CFY to leak and we know it's good... from the other song we only have a few seconds and it doesn't even sound like HM

It's really good (as usual) but I don't get why they would release this as a single (and so close to Christmas...). It might be the best one yet but I don't see this getting big or anything From a fan point of view I don't complain at all but since her label seems so focused on getting a hit for the album... it's weird

Lana won't ever quit music like even if she wanted to, she'd accidentally go to the studio out of habit and record something and release it I don't think she would even take a long break between albums cause she loves her job and since she's almost in full control of her career she can just focus on the music aspect and leave all the other aspects that seem stressful to her aside

The preorder is her longest but the wait between lead single to album is her shortest since HM I still think we're getting another single around february to remind people she has an album coming out

She said "for the first song" so I'm not sure how to interpret it. First song on the album or first song she wrote? I think it's Fingertips anyway cause it has that lyric and it's a Drew only track (and it's from 2021) but maybe she also had an early tracklist at that point when it was the opening track... even though if she didn't have a title I doubt she had an already sorted tracklist

It's a different service sadly and someone (I think @hotshot2am) said that they restrict access to links not "generated" by uploading the song. All the tracks have to be there since their numbers are close tho... but we can't get to them
