  1. Tough one, but I'd say audience. Noir
  2. I was looking forward things such as Seafoam Nova No but really, we have TFJ and COCC so it's still a win for me. But I do agree the titles are somewhat basic.
  3. I thought the lyrics were deep and emotional when it was released shujifdskks
  4. Why does it look like a copypasta lmao? I'm laughing so hard, it doesn't even look like Lana and Chuck But imagine the music video featuring a scene like that...
  5. I don't listen to Born to Die as much as I used to. Otherwise, most of her work is timeless for me. I adore every lyrics, even the corny or cringy ones. Lana's music always had a special place in my heart because I've always felt like I was listening to a novel. I can always picture the landscape, the action, the protagonists, the story, so every time I'm listening to a song, I just have these images in my head. It feels like I'm re-reading my favorite books. Also, each song gives me a different feeling which I love to explore all over again. It's a really special thing I can't really explain, but I can say that I don't know any other artist who can do the same to me. I can't talk about the production since I don't know shit about that, but nothing seems dated for me. But then again, I'm no musician or whatever, so...
  6. I mean, there's toxic and creepy. Some comments are indeed rude or mean but I don't think most users here are convinced they'll marry Lana or something. And when we're investigating, even if it's often intrusive, it's out of curiosity and not to harm Lana or her relatives. We don't have bad intentions. I think it makes a big difference.
  7. The biggest surprise is that @takeitdoen just became a moderator. I don't know why I thought you already were. Guess you're too iconic. Edit: Of course, congrats to both of you! It's well deserved!
  8. You joke that i'm rich and i am and it's exactly how you think Best lines The randomness is so Lana You never disappoint, @RormanNockwell Edit : and @99centlips (sorry I forgot you)
  9. I've always liked the repetition in "children's children" because it always reminds me of a line in Les Colchiques by Apollinaire: "Ils cueillent les colchiques qui sont comme des mères Filles de leurs filles et sont couleur de tes paupières" Found this translation, maybe not the best: "They pick the crocuses which are like mothers Daughters of their daughters and are the color of your eyelids"
  10. I'm laughing so hard at the fact they are two to write this kind of things: Anyway, I hope she'll recover quickly and that she'll feed us too, like, s o o n.
  11. The hype is BACK. Can't believe I lost faith. Damn the trailer is so captivating! I'm so relieved and happy! I love LMLYLAW but if the album goes into the same direction as NFR, I want some VB or psychedelic weird vibe, and it looks like she'll serve this with COCC! We WON! FINALLY.
  12. I saw people saying the song feels empty without the rap, but I love her humming so much! It's my favorite part. So captivating...
  13. Yeah, I don't really know why it's giving some UV vibes to some of you, because I'm just seeing the UV / HM / LFL / NFR hair color. I do think she looks beautiful in darker hair, but yeah, it was refreshing to see her as a blonde. It looked like some really new era, even a turning point in her LDR career (returning to her Lizzy roots, blonde hair, "I come from a small town..." line, yada yada) and it was so exciting!

@Say Yes to Heaven Thanks for bumping the thread, I would've missed such a great artist! The atmosphere in her songs is unreal. I've loved everything I've listened to so far. (And I was wondering for a very long time where your pp and your signature came from, but I have now my answer )
  15. Your mind. COCC social experiment confirmed.
  16. Oh thanks for sharing, they're so beautiful! Love the last one, it's giving me Madonna vibes.
  17. I'm surprised a lot of people dislike these lines. They're a perfect embodiment of what's wrong in this world and they fit well in the song. In general, I'm confused as why many of you are criticizing Marina's "fake woke" lyrics, because she always had been some sort of SJW. Quality wise, I don't think her lyrics are worse right now. Before L+F, she was kinda self-centered, or at least she was telling a story. Her lyrics seemed more personal and a lot of people could relate to her vulnerability. Now, she's looking at things from afar/another perspective (she's probably trying to be a voice for everyone, and maybe that's why she seems more pretentious). She's more in a criticizing way of thinking and instead of being passive, she's pinpointing what's wrong. I don't mind the too-on-the nose lyrics because sometimes, an allegory isn't needed. Like, "I love you til the end of the Earth" isn't the most metaphorical line, but it's something beautiful to say to the person you love, and it's its simplicity that makes it beautiful. And I love how some of you were missing the clunky/quirky lyricism of TFJ, but are cringing when she's finally serving it again.
  18. I'm amazed, scared and crying of laughter. At least, she's gorgeous.
  19. But I don't understand... Some time ago, a user said the mask had plastic sewn in it and we all moved on (it was in the thread of the signing book event, if I remember correctly. Or was it in the Instragram updates one?). Am I being crazy? Did I invent that?
  20. ... I don't know why but this all red cover with the little heraldry under the title makes me think of some beer/alcohol ad
  21. People who are accusing her of being a Trump supporter won't stop. She said and proved so many times she hated him yet they still threw nonsensical accusations to her face. Brainworms.
  22. Now I hope everything will get better for you, American friends!
  23. This. I was so relieved for American people and now, all I can hear is crickets.
