The big one coming to mind for me at the moment is Fine China. Haven’t heard the DA version obv but tbh Rick’s demo would fit almost perfectly on Honeymoon with a re-recording; it’s long & heartbreaking and the wedding theme tie in nicely with the Honeymoon title tbh, not to mention that it’s one of her best-written unreleased imo. Legit I think the lyrics are on par with most of Honeymoon and it’s absolutely criminal that this song never saw a release. The demo we have is a little rough as it is, but the adjustments needed to the arrangement would be minimal. I’d probably boost up the strings and try to drown out the click track lol. Maybe add some reverb. Buuuuut since that didn’t happen I’d like to nominate Fine China, on the condition she doesn’t change the lyrics. It’s her turn!

I don’t hate him but I find his production with Lana to be incredibly dull, flat, and cheap-feeling with few exceptions. His work with Lana largely sounds like a collection of unfinished demos; the biggest offender here imo is How to Disappear. Zach Dawes supremacy I also don’t see this as much with Lana fans as other fandoms but I personally get sick and tired of seeing him lauded as this musical genius on Twitter, which may be the source of some backlash.

I’ve mostly worked past it but the whole LFL album used to be a pretty heavy/difficult listen for me. It came out maybe a year or so before what was probably the worst time of my life in terms of mental health (depression & anxiety plus dating an abusive parter with addiction issues). It was kind of a comfort album during that time and after it was all over, though I still quite liked the album, I just couldn’t make it all the way through most of the time. Particular sore spots were TNC, Heroin, and Change
