I think she's referring to the fact that her man is a religious man. Growing up catholic I often heard about things like "following God's call." So maybe she's saying that her man thinks freedom comes from following God.. Does that make sense?

I listened to it with my headphones on blast like 5 times and she says "just gonna sit right down" so yes you're right.

I'm going through Lana sleuthing withdrawal... Reading this post over the past month has blown my mind but now I feel like everyone's calmed down and come to terms with the fact that this is [mostly] still just speculation. Except me!!
