141. She wants the Brite Lights.

Yeah, I think so... Do you own a copy of Lolita?
-
Does this remind anyone else of Behind Closed Doors?
-
This one is so underrated.
-
You can really feel Old Money in it, though.
-
Florida Kilos has the feel of an unreleased song, in my opinion.
-
-()()()- I was writing a story. This is my page break thingy.

Icy water. And ice cubes. God, mine is kinda boring...
-
Lana's such a creative genius. God, Florida Kilos is just a masterpiece within itself.

Hmm...maybe it's a cherry cola with a slice of lime in it?
-
And Yayo. Lana's songs can be deceptively happy and glamourous, but when you really look into them... And this song has me wanting a cherry cola lime. Do they exist? I missed the big trip to Atlanta to see the Coca-Cola factory.

I don't love it, but I don't hate it. It's just kind of...there. Shades of Cool was fantastic, as was West Coast, and I hope she'll do something big for Brooklyn Baby and Old Money. Maybe something Video Games-esque?

Lana Considering a Re-Release of 'Ultraviolence'
ultraviolenced replied to HEARTCORE's topic in Latest News
If there is an EP for Ultraviolence, it should have something to do with the book. -
The reason I think it really IS Lana is because of For K. On the AKA album, there's 'For K Part 2'...and K seems to have influenced a lot of Lana's songs.

I checked, and I don't think there's a thread for this, so this one's for the May Jailer era music. Sirens and the other albums need more appreciation.
-
Fun dance songs are Hit and Run, Go Go Dancer, and Off to the Races.
-
I wish we had more of May Jailer.

Why does everyone hate Dark Paradise? Just curious.
-
I live in the Deep South, and the remix of Summertime Sadness was big last summer ('13) and I usually have to clarify when I tell people I love her. I have a few friends who love her as well. My parents wouldn't ever listen to her and my siblings can't appreciate the beauty of her songs.
-
I usually skip over most of the BtD singles. The ones I like on that album (TIWMUG, Carmen, DMD, Million Dolllar Man, etc. and the bonus tracks) aren't singles.
-
I've cried during Dark Paradise and Video Games. When I first heard the remastered version of Black Beauty, I teared up. But Pawn Shop Blues and Hollywood both kind of have a melancholy feel to them.
