I really disliked Watercolor Eyes when it was released, but it came on shuffle the other day and it sounded so much better than I remembered. I think it may be one of my favorite songs that she has released in the past couple of years now.

He commented that in this post. https://www.instagram.com/p/CiBmDZHO8Nn/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

I actually think it’s pretty cool if it is him. He produced all the songs on Golden Hour. She could potentially be working with 2 producers that have won album of the year at the Grammys, if Jon Batiste is also involved.

We really went from pop producer to country producer real quick.
-
Yeah I just checked his Instagram and he looks different.

Norman Fucking Rockwell - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll
LifeOnMars replied to Elle's topic in Post-Release Threads
Really wish I had been around when she released this album. It feels like the last album she released that had somewhat of an era with interviews, magazine covers, concerts, etc. Good to see that this album continues to get so much acclaim from both critics and music listeners. A top 2 Lana album for me. -
Does LDR9 include AKA or Paradise? Paradise is an EP and from my understanding most artists consider those separate from albums.
-
Yeah he looks like any guy from the rural Midwest to me. Also what does he even do for a living? I know he is in a band, but they release music like once every 10 years and they don’t appear to be that successful despite having a small cult following.
-
Right. Like he produced songs on 1989, Reputation, and Folklore. All very different. Also as much as I disliked Solar Power, at least they tried something completely from Melodrama.
-
Yeah I thought BB proved that Lana is the only one responsible for the simple piano ballads. If you look at the albums he has produced for Taylor, St. Vincent, and Lorde, you can tell that he is capable of switching his sound.
-
He kind of looks like Jason Sudeikis.
-
Just noticed Lana liked Neil’s post from a few days ago. It doesn’t seem like she usually likes his posts so maybe it does have something to do with her.
-
Yeah. I know we’ve only heard a short snippet and I really want to like it, but it just sounds so dull to me. Really hope the song has some sort of a build up or beat change but people hoped the same for BB and Arcadia and well... Honestly a country album would be more interesting at this point.

Candy Necklace

I keep hearing rockafella my own brother… I know that’s probably not what she is saying though. -
Blue Banisters was technically released without vinyl being ready on the first week. At least it was in the US. So I don’t see why they wouldn’t let her release another album like that. They could just get CDs ready which doesn’t take as long.
-
She hasn’t done death metal yet.. LOL. You’re right. I’m being dramatic. I’m sure she didn’t hire a talented jazz producer to just do piano ballads.
-
Yeah so definitely not getting a new sound for this album which is disappointing but not surprising. At least she is working with an experienced producer like Jon though.

Blue Banisters Metacritic User Score being tanked by trolls
LifeOnMars replied to alexlanawhore's topic in Lana Thoughts
Well this backfired. Lana now has the top 2 user rated albums on there. At least right now. -
Three of her ex boyfriends technically contributed to her last album. Clay with the interlude, Barrie with IYLDWM and NOTG, and Mike with the Arcadia music video. Jack’s music is pretty interesting so hopefully he does end up contributing something.

Strongly disagree with this. Just because an artist goes through changes or loses interest in a particular aesthetic doesn’t mean they have to change their stage name. The songs from BTD-HM are about real things that happened to her just like her newer stuff is. Different writing styles/imagery does not change that. I think every album represents an important part of her journey as an artist.
-
I’m so oblivious. Never would have never noticed she edited the pictures if someone hadn’t brought it up.
-
With her last two albums not doing that well commercially, I would think that Interscope would be pressuring her to release a more mainstream sounding record. It doesn’t sound like she is moving too far away from the sound of the last 2 albums though. So maybe Interscope is really just letting her release whatever she wants at this point.
-
Convinced Lana stans hate her. Like she just posted a story about talking to one of her friends, and they are already making assumptions and being annoying.
-
It’s because Annie doesn’t make music that makes me think she wasn’t talking about her own music. To me it sounds like that is what she was listening while talking with Annie. It would be kind of random for her to drop hints about new music in a story that had nothing to do with that.

I’m sure that if Lana asked him to take it down, he would. Plus he deleted some comments from Lana stans in his most recent post, so it does seem to bother him. I think they are fine though. He liked her posts from yesterday after he had already deleted it.
