Kind of curious to know why she doesn’t go to Rick anymore. He seemed to be her go to producer a few years ago.

I know someone said something about a single in July. I have no idea if it was a reliable insider or not though.

Mark Ronson posted Lana a couple of times on his Instagram stories. Hoping he talks to her about producing a few songs.

Yeah same. I don’t think any of the songs Drew has produced for her so far are that interesting.

I do agree that LFL has some of her best songs. Heroin is probably my second favorite Lana song. 13 Beaches, Cherry, and Get Free are also great. If you cut out some of the more political songs, I think it would be a top 3 album for me.

I think there was a decline from Honeymoon to LFL the same way there was a decline from NFR to Chemtrails. It would be cool to get a few songs from Rick again, but she would probably benefit the most from working with a new producer entirely.

I can definitely see how some of the fans of her older albums would be losing interest with her more minimalistic sound and personal lyrics. I’m not a huge fan of Blue Banisters myself. If she had taken 3 or 4 years to release it after Chemtrails, then I think I would feel a little more pessimistic about her future releases. I want to stay optimistic for the next album until I actually hear the songs for now though.

I never thought Lana would release an album as highly regarded as NFR after LFL, which most people called her worst at the time. Definitely would not write off her whole career because of the producers she has been working with or because of her preference for piano ballads lately. Saying that she will never make “interesting” music again is crazy to me.

I don’t think that necessarily means that song is a piano ballad. I think the recording process for a lot of songs start off with just piano or guitar and more gets added later. Rick talked about the recording process with Lana once and mentioned a similar approach.

Lana probably doesn’t even know that she has an account there lol. Ben probably posted it for self promo. Really hope her team does do something to promote LDR9 though, since her music is pretty popular on TikTok.

I think it(Stargirl Interlude) is viral on TikTok right now. That is why it is so high. Usually I don’t think it’s even in her top 10.

Stargirl Interlude was her most streamed song yesterday. It would be really cool if she worked with Labrinth on LDR9 or a future album. I think that sound fits her very well.

I take back what I said about Breaking Up Slowly. It’s really not that bad. It’s just I don’t feel like Lana and Nikki’s voices work that well together. Beautiful would be fine without the Picasso line. I’ve tried really hard to like WCE, but I just can’t. I think it’s mainly her vocals in the chorus that end up ruining the song for me.

Is WCE or Beautiful. BUS isn’t that great either though.

A full country album would be better than whatever BB was. It would at least be a new genre for her(the only song that she has released that I would consider country is breaking up slowly).

If you would have told me a couple of years ago that Lana would go from being a sub headliner at Coachella to singing back up for someone at country Coachella, I would have never believed it.

I want to believe this, but the fact that she is working with Erickson, Jack, and her dad makes me feel like she is working on another low key album.

I’ve seen a few people say this about her more recent songs, but it doesn’t bother me that much. She has always named dropped people in her songs(Jim, Marylin, Elvis, Springsteen, Bill, etc). It’s just part of her writing style. Only difference is that she is name dropping close friends and family members now instead of famous people and ex boyfriends.

Blue Banisters should have never been released as an album. I really think it would have worked better as an EP, where she cuts out all the leaked songs, or as a mixtape.

Sweet Carolina is a pretty good song. I think it adds something new to her discography. She sings about a new topic and her vocals at certain parts are pretty different from what we are used to hearing from her. That said I don’t think we need an album full of them.

Yeah you are right. All this insider said was that the songs were boring which anyone could have said. They didn’t provide any specifics about the music. Plus people were claiming that WCE had a bridge which ended up being false, so some “insiders” are bad at describing her music as well.

Are these Jack or Drew songs? Do you know? Either way I just hope she takes her time with this album.
