  1. Ok so the Weeknd just teased a new video / possibly era on his socials. hopefully he doesn't drop something tomorrow and kill the tough buzz.....
  2. Wutt? Jack produced Tough? Counfirmed? i'm gonna think he's produced the acoustic version.
  3. god i hope the video wont be 3 mins of acoustic guitar snooze fest before the banger starts. please not another cancy necklace situation with 7 minute of quality footage and low streams.
  4. I got an email from lana's website. It says "Out tomorrow July 3d, 9 AM PST / 5 PM UK there's also a trailer for the video
  5. I'd prefer mirror too. But there's no chance a Quavo x Ldr b side is not Quavo related. It'll be fly away or sth else quavo coded
  6. This time tomorrow guys. The single is dropping on the 4th of July. So, midnight after July 3rd ( at the earliest).
  7. It's dropping on July 4th. So, midnight after July 3rd. That's what they said, no? Still two full days to go at least here where I live.
  8. I reckon it's a one-off single vinyl, which you can buy off either one of their stores. But it'll end up on Lasso as Interscope will insist on it.
  9. i really hope she ads it to lasso. also, if it's confirmed to be on lasso, then that means the album is coming within 2-4 months, maybe 6. If tough is a one-off, we could be seeing lasso next year... Also, let's face it, tough will be the first bonafide bop and hit on a lana record since doin ' time. that'd be great for streaming numbers, and her overall discography. lastly, it'll mean lasso is more than just a by-the-book country record. I pray to god it's a lasso track.
  10. 3 mins has been a standard runtime for a pop song for a while. Example: Sabrina Carpenter's Please, Please, which is no. 1 now). Many songs are now even shorter at 2.30 or 2.45. This is why Say Yes to Heaven bridge was cut. As much as I'd love a long outro on Tough, 3 mins will do better. We're lucky if we even get a bridge.
  11. 3 more days guys, and we'll finally have this one our phones!
  12. I am obsessed with "Good luck, Babe!" This, Billie's Chihiro's and Beyonce's Bodyguard are my three favorite songs of the year. What a perfect pop song. I think she has a lot of potential. She's also giving Kate Bush, and I love that.
  13. It'd be hilarious if the track is not all that when it finally drops 😂 after all this waiting and hype
  14. this 100% lana seems to say yes to just about any collab idea but 99% of them are not worth her time.
  15. m.i.a. had her first no 1 when she did a collab with travis scott (franchise) in 2020. honestly, tough is even more radio friendly than that song. Franchise is a banger but has a very had edge to it. Like, it's intense. My point is that this could do just as well. But lana should promote it a lot harder.
  16. yes. She can still add it to lasso ala doin' time. especially since it says "and lana del rey". But why is she not promoting this? She should put up links for pre-order like he did.
  17. So, what Billboard 100 spot do we predict this will debut at? I predict not as high as Snow on the Beach (4) but higher than Say Yes to Heaven (#54). So, like 30 sth. spot? Quavo/Migos have a big base + Lana has a big base + it's been teased so long + it's a bop + there's a music video... First week numbers should be good. But then the marketing was lackluster
  18. shut yo moth. Let us have one bop this fukin decade
  19. guys, i dont think we're getting lasso this year. There's just no reason to move at all. all we have is the speech where she announced it, but that was before she said "i have no idea where lasso is going now" i think we should be happy we're getting Tough this year and celebrate that. Hopefully it's a hit too
  20. Umm, he's had double the billboard success of ldr. 33 charing tracks to her 15. And that's just as a solo artist (not counting migos). This collab could chart big time, and surely higher than High by the Beach or Love or SYTH, which was all in the 50-60s ranking. But again, after the painfully lame, basic bitch "promo" we got for this single, who knows. Maybe it doesn't chart at all. Thanks, Ben
  21. it's a stand-alone single that will end up on her album (like doin' time) or both their albums. if she doesn't make that happen, then she's not very bright because this will be her biggest hit since, well, doin' time.
  22. the thing is, everyone is dropping music this year. Word on the street is that the music industry is in crisis and artists are struggling. Covid hit the industry hard, no money was made via gigs, and streaming doesn't really get anyone a lot of money. moreover, there's somewhat of a recession going on and people don't have 100$ + bucks to drop on every concert. so by that theory, it makes sense that lana will stick to her original plan. She works fast, she's got loads of unreleased material, and in her own words - lasso has been several years in the making. i'm still hoping this is the first single off that record and we'll get the record at least in December - March. mind you, OB's first single dropped 4 months before the album.
