hmmmm. So proud that she sat on it for a year and two months? 🤔 All i know is that my expectations are very, very low. Sounds like her softest and least promising single yet. More soft than The Grants, Arcadia, Let Me Love You, and even Chelsea Hotel. I see it as another Yayo, Looking for America or Not All Those Who Wander, that just so happened to be a lead single. And I'm saying not to be hateful but to tone down the hype for myself so that I don't get disappointed if it turns out to be just that.

This 100%. That being said, she did say we'll hear two singles before Stagecoach. I leckon she needs to drop at least one before. She wouldn't be messing us around not to drop the single in a month if she's just posted a teaser cover... That would be just cruel. Also, The Abyss is the second single out of the "pair" she mentioned. So, weirdly, she's on track. Henry will come, but probably in two weeks or so.

I was happy for a moment, but then I remembered that we still don't know when this is coming and if it's coming. Teasing the same song for 14 months and not dropping it is a bit cray-cray. What if Henry is really just a 4-minute spirit brother of Looking for America, and Not All Those Who Wonder are Lost. One acoustic guitar, some nice singing, cozy fireplace music vibes, and that's it? I don't exactly think it would end up on my Best of LDR playlist, personally. Clearly, you've never had to go through the awful and dehumanising processo of applying for visas, which in Trump era, can be rejected at any point in time. A colleague of mine in the exact same role had his rejected recently due to being Asian, whereas I got mine as a European. So, if he had had concerts there, he woulda been in the same boat as FKA. Another theory to kill time. Lana turns 40 this year on June 21st. i reckon she would want the record to drop before then, or on that day. Happy birthday, OB! Definitely in my top 5 LDR albums, and so glad it exists. I listen to AW so often. That track, and the title track are Lana's best album cuts since NFR.

So, LFL came out in July 2017. NFR came out in August 2019. That means 2 years and 1 month is enough for Lana to do her absolute best work. OB came out in March 2023. We're officially past the two-year mark. So, we could be getting a legit masterpiece. (Yes, I'm back on Train Delulu again. Choo-choo!).

100%. We've had three monochrome/brown covers back to back. Time to bring back color like NFR/BTD covers. With sex appeal, if possible. Sometimes I wonder if the reason why BTD and UV did so freaking well commercially was all the hot-af visuals.
