She said she wanted to continue as a producer & songwriter but all her clients ditched her She has 2 million listeners on Spotify atm (whilst Slayyyter only has 1 million). But hopefully we'll see Slayyyter grow.
-
I can't believe she didn't realise it during the singles era. It's one of her best down tempo songs. (she should just "leak it" like she did with Sweet 16) & yes, 'U' is also incredible.

Dolce Vita I'm so excited for our girl to go full on dance pop. I want more of this! I want Swimming Pool (Boy Sim's Version) to surface soon
-
The Red singles on TV sound like demos. Where's the vocoder?? And I hate how she doesn't even attempt to replicate aspects of the originals. The bridge on Come Back Be Here TV

Good Ones is the only semi radio friendly song so far. Pop Radio will not touch New Shapes. She needs to drop some of the bops she teased on live, because I want a 1999 sized hit for the album. Isn't Crash technically the second album? It's the Janet inspired album from early 2020
-
I think she wants to go down a more commercial route like Kim Petras tbh. The hyperpop stuff gave her a career, but she's not going to continue to grow if she just stays in that lane.
-
Commercially? Good Ones flopped & New Shapes isn't going to do anything. We need a basic bop like Boys or 1999 to get some streams, I thought she'd have Dua Lipa, Jax Jones etc. on this album to pull in numbers.
-
I always preferred the demo. I like the structure more with the bridge "so I'll cut the chord on this before..."
-
I feel like there will be a deluxe for this. Considering Atlantic made her put 1999 on Charli, I'm sure we'll see OUT OUT & maybe even Spinning on a deluxe.

Those venues were ridiculously small though. The London venue was for only 600 people (probably >500 tickets went on sale with all the guests that attended too).
-
Wow! 10K capacity. She sold out Brixton's 5K capacity in minutes I seem to remember. So this should go quick as well. (I hope she headlines a London arena one day).
-
Does anyone know what London venue she's headlining? It's not on ticketmaster yet
-
She's collabed with Charli XCX & Kim Petras before. Her association with the ayeshaverse is long gone
-
Tracks 5 & 7 from That Kid's new EP don't seem to have any producer credits ... Ms Cheeseburger maybe?
-
Does anyone know why All I Do Is Cry has been re-released as May 2021? Could be included in the album? Clarity mixtape is now under the new label as well. Everything else still shows under 'BunHead' but wouldn't be surprised if that changes within the next few days.

We don’t really know much still. She said in an interview recently new music isn’t coming out immediately but not at the end of the year either (guessing late August / September).
-
You For Me is the first song I’m mad she didn’t keep. SOL, Señorita etc. didn’t really fit in her discography anyway. But You For Me demo is such a banger & the Sigala collab could’ve been a great way to start the mainstream era (& added onto the album as a bonus track).

Yeah I’ve changed my mind. It’s not that bad. I wanted something pop-rocky on the cover or angry. But oh well. The worst is Throatzillaaa though. It just looks so out of place with the aesthetic.

Blue Banisters - Pre-Pre-Release Thread
ExoticBrick replied to Elle's topic in Retired Pre-Release Threads
Lead single in July & album in September is not like Norman. Even COCC had a longer rollout than that (5 months between lead single & album release). -
This & Throatzillaaa are so bad. They both look like they were shot on iPhones. They really stand out (in a bad way) amongst the budget single covers for the rest.
-
That didn't make the album sadly. Hopefully there's a deluxe version though.
-
It's weird because she teased it on Twitter in January or February. I saw someone claim she's apparently turned it into a lyric video instead. I think there's another music video coming still. I'm hoping Over This for the next single.
-
I'm personally not too interested in a 911 remix. I'm not a huge fan of Chromatica. I'm more excited for XCX5 & I hope the 911 remix doesn't delay the release - I want the lead single this Summer.
-
I don't see why she would. Charli's never really been one to throw random collabs onto her albums (I'm referring to collabs that aren't a part of her own album campaign). E.g. Dream Glow wasn't put onto XCX3. Spinning isn't even pulling huge numbers (yet - maybe it can take off). So I don't see it being forced onto XCX5. I think Atlantic are aware now she's actually a pretty huge physical seller, so I think CD/vinyl/cassette variants are what they'll exploit the most when releasing XCX5.

Something is coming soon. Maybe the lead single from the soundtrack.
