i hate her for taking the "for amy and for whitney" out of get free, muffling the "told by the fake news" part on WTWWAWWKD and not using her little vocal riffs at the end of chemtrails title track

i think she could've meshed the 2 versions into one. i'm not a music producer but my idea (if anyone wants to do it) is demo version drums kicking in → piano and strings from the original version with the xylophone mimicking the melody → first verse and pre-chorus of the official version → drums kicking in for the demo version, but with no backup singers or electric guitar → second verse of the demo version → first pre-chorus of the official version with the guitar higher → backup singers come in "at the rainbow's end" → demo version chorus with the guitar → mashup of the two versions of the bridge and the chorus, having the violins as well → lana joins the backup singers singing in the same tone as them in the end → ends with the piano and the xylophone -
in lana's top 3 songs that should've stayed on nikki lane's hard drive

i don't think the picasso reference is bad, just the way she says it. "what if someone had asked picasso not to be sad" is soo cringe. could've been way better if she just said something like "if picasso weren't sad there'd be no blue period"

in my opinion, blue banisters is much more ambitious than chemtrails and it does a much better job at serving sounds she has never done (BBS and dealer especially). and i don't think having 4 different album covers, all shot professionally is a sign of lacking willpower. yes she was a lot more determined with BTD or LFL, but because she wanted them to be big, blue banisters is not meant for being #1 on the billboard hot 200 chart, it's her diary, her own story through music. she was never a pop star -

yeah i see the album as a story of a young girl desperate for fame and willing to do anything to have it. it talks about traumatic things in a """pretty""" way but isn't that just her way of seeing it? i wonder how people can't view these songs as criticism rather than romantization

when she was a child she went down a well with a tape that held her, the taperipped and she fell on her back and got hospitalized. years later a man came to her and told her the reason her voice is whispery is because of that time she fell
