Doin Time - I started listening to it again occasionally since it got viral on Tiktok but before that I avoided it because it reminds me of a heatwave during summer of 2019, me being stressed about exams and one of the most boring summers I had. Exactly. Also the majority of active bands release some dark music in a warehouse with leather jackets and it's so obvious that it's safe music for fans only. Totally uncreative and underwhelming. Her pre-Ghost electro pop era is embarrassing. I would eat it up at ages 11-13 but the songs still sound like flops. Sky did her part well, the music was just unlistenable. Kinda sad how labels set artists up for failure for giving them bad songs.

I've heard that many times actually and it's not unpopular at all. Every time indie pop girls and tumblr culture is mentioned Lana is always credited as the blueprint. The indie girl pipeline always starts with Lana or Marina, but mostly Lana. We also have countless of micro subcultures/aesthetics like couqettes, sad girls, Paris chic, soft grunge etc. for which Lana's music is their theme song if you know what I mean.
