Yeah! And what really concerns (and confounds!) me is the lack of empathy for a woman who has SO obviously experienced, at the very least, an emotionally abusive relationship. It makes me wonder what is it about music as a medium in particular that makes it *difficult* to portray these kind of complex experiences without receiving an allegation of “romanticisation” - is it because it’s set to a great beat?
