sirens is just so listenable, it's actually one of the albums i listen to the most (alongside NFR) - and its style is v reminiscent of elliott smith, who i'm obsessed with <3

imagine having a mind to put oh say can you see, mermaid motel, and yayo on the same album - i will never get over AKA

i agree! but a big part of me also wants her to glamorise farm life this also reminds me that a lot of lana's new work makes me think of america's national hippie sweetheart treasure mary oliver's poetry (the emphasis on exploring and appreciating the present moment)

You and Bill are hunting UFOs by the beach. You think he's ga ga crazy until you see them too. The green men leave the spaceships and ask you to show a Lizzy Grant song that proves humanity is worth its existence. What's the song and why?

LDR9 and AS+C manifestations -
baffled that such quality writing as in 'text book' can be on the same album as tracks like 'beautiful' and to a lesser extent, 'violets 4 roses' i completely understand lana feeling like she needed to address critics regarding their misconceptions and i hope that's the reason for beautiful being as direct and on the nose as it is, but i also hope she never has to write songs aimed at clarifying herself to critics ever again
