  1. she lives her own memes
  2. NFR has the most sophisticated lyrics and the best concept of all the albums. It's a completely different level of Lana, has hardly any weak parts (apart from TNBAR or Bartender perhaps), which mainly means unnecessary overlengths or repetitive lyrics. Ocean Blvd is also a sophisticated album, but in a different way. The range of songs is wider and the songs are more divisive, but that also means that you might only like some of them. While explicit lyrics were a good fit for the NFR concept (simply because of the album title), I still think that she used them inappropriately in some parts of Ocean Blvd (like in the title track).
  3. Seems to be more of a private thing, as no label is mentioned in the video. But Chino Amobi is well known: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chino_Amobi Would like to know how they met.

  7. Do I contradict myself? Very well, then, I contradict myself; I am large - I contain multitudes.
  8. don't confuse Ricardo with Ricky
  9. I guess her new country music will differ from whatever this video is about

  11. btw, beautiful night dress
  12. She could do so much for the environment with her money to compensate her ecological footprint. And it would be so exemplary for many other people, I think she's missing something here.
  13. idk if this was linked before: Why Lana Del Rey deserves awards more than anyone

    Taylor Swift

somehow I like the tracklist, could become her best album...
  15. I don't think voters take the time to listen to all the music in nearly 100 categories, so it's probably all about name recognition...
  16. the critics were rather positive, but you're right, it was not much appreciated by aoty users, for example (like folklore): https://www.albumoftheyear.org/album/541510-taylor-swift-midnights.php
  17. one of the main problems is that members have to vote for categories they have no idea about and are not interested in. they need to let experts vote for each category
  18. a September release should normally count for 2023/24, if they don't shorten the period like this year... could also depend on if Lasso is released in the beginning or end of September
  19. The bad thing is that Lana has done so much in the past year to increase her popularity and her chances of winning a Grammy, and now it all seems to have been for nothing. Taylor just put out a mediocre pop album designed for commercial success, while there were a lot of good ideas and ambitions behind Did You Know that weren't properly appreciated even by some critics.
  20. Like I said before, just because she didn't win a Grammy doesn't mean her music wasn't Grammy-worthy. The competition is fierce and sometimes it's just a matter of luck. Five nominations is still some kind of recognition she should be proud of.
  21. even if lana doesn't win anything, the fact that the academy has accepted the nominations suggests that her music is grammy-worthy. so she has done everything right
