agree! they were together for so long and obviously mean a lot to each other regardless of whether or not they're still together. i think it was really nice to give her a cute shout on her birthday. shows that they are on alright terms and there isn't a ton of animosity anymore (if there ever even was).

to be fair tho that could've just been a misunderstanding, it was like the day after she confirmed it right? maybe barrie didn't know that lana had gone public with it and thought it was still a secret from the media

i don't think this is going to be the lead single, probably just a buzz song, something to open the Honeymoon era with. the lyrics just give me that vibe - 'Our honeymoon', it's as though she's welcoming us to the new era.
the other video she's filmed for MTWBT will probs be high-budget and the lead single imo

Hey, I was actually the girl in front of you in line who stood next to you in the pit haha.  It was great meeting you and I was so happy that Lana took your letter!

I had silver vip and got to the venue with my friend around 7:15.  I was 15th in line but became 6th once the vips were divided into their own line.  To reiterate what everyone else was saying, it was a huge mess trying to figure out what was happening for those with silver vip.  One venue worker who was extremely irritated (he just had to deal with a group of people fighting in the general admission pit line) told us that he had no information about vips and said we needed to split up into 6 lines for bag check.  Luckily everyone agreed to remain in the one line and keep our spots.  Once Natalie from VIP Nation came and gave us our wristbands, everything went smoothly.

Once escorted into the pit I was able to get the front right by the bottom of the stairs.  It didn't really hit me how great my spot in the pit was until she came on and I saw how close she was.  The show was amazing.  I have plenty of favorite singers that I love to listen to, but Lana is one of the few artists who's songs I feel on a deeper emotional level.  Hearing her live is always mesmerizing for me.  Although this wasn't my first Lana concert, it was my first time being in the pit.  Not sure if it was because I was against the barricade and had something to grip, but it really wasn't that bad.  I ended up getting a lot of great footage but rarely captured entire songs because I didn't want to get sucked into staring at my camera screen rather than her.  Right before Born to Die she said we were "one of the best, loudest, most energetic shows".  When she came down the stairs after Off to the Races I managed to get a selfie! I almost got knocked out by the guy behind me though that wanted a picture with her so badly that he smacked me in the head with his phone as he reached his arm out.  I was actually the last person she stopped for before she went back up the stairs and exited the stage.  My friend said that as Lana was taking a selfie with me, someone next to her reached out and pulled her hair  I'm just grateful she still stayed to take the picture even as all that craziness was going on, can't even imagine what that's like!  All in all the entire day was fantastic and I can't wait to see her in concert again!

So here is my account of the concert:

I wasn't pressed to get there early or anything since my friend and I had assigned seating and she only lived about 10 minutes form the venue so we got there around 7. I met up with a fellow LB member to spread the glorious gospel give them a CD and we chatted some until Grimes came on. Grimes was alright but I had forgotten to put in my contacts so she was literally a blur and her music is just a tad too weird for me. I went in the middle of Grimes' set to buy a shirt and then convinced one of the gate ladies to let me go get my contacts so I could see.

When she came on it was amazing. Her whole look was beautiful and she sounded amazing from the start. The sound was wonderful, I could hear her so clear and people weren't singing so loud that I was at all bothered. I had two people's tickets who were coming and had to let them in during Cruel World which was really annoying but it was alright, I was back in my seat by the opening line of Cola. I was sitting slightly off to the right from the stage but only a few rows back from the Gold VIP people so it was nice. I could see between the two people in front of me but some girl kept swaying so sometimes it was hard to see.

She talked to us a few times about how glad she was to be back and how lucky she was. She took a tiara thing from someone during UATW and wore it and looked like a literal queen. I wish she would have worn it the rest of the show. I was surprised at how accurate people were about fans sitting down during the unreleased stuff. I didn't care though because it just made my view better. Some guy caught her attention and gave her this giant blanket/flag thing and that started her 5 minute selfie and meeting session. She spent a surprisingly small amount of time in the pit to be honest - I figured she'd go down more than once and for longer but it was very brief. She did kiss a fan on the lips!

One thing I completely loved was she changed the lyrics to Born to Die just slightly to "if you make me feel at home, then I'll tell you you're mine". It was so perfect with the way she sang it. That was the first song I ever heard by her but last night she made me fall in love with it all over. Also, no one prepped me for the fact that she would sing "let me fuck you hard in the pouring rain" in the chorus. That got some yells. She unfortunately replaced Brooklyn Baby with Ride again, although she sounded fantastic singing it. Her voice all night was on point and she had completely control. It was amazing to see how far she had come from just last year in May.

Right after Shades of Cool the front of the pit began chanting something and she talked about "not having done that before". I'm assuming they were saying Old Money since that is when she decided to sing that for us. She only did the first verse and chorus and stopped though but it was very beautiful and very special that she did that for us. They began chanting again after she stopped (I SWEAR they were saying Honeymoon but it could have been wishful thinking) and she said "What is this? Karaoke night?!" and then said she didn't know that one.  Towards the end the people in front of me left so I had a great view the last third of the show. At end end she thanked us and said she couldn't wait to come back next year, sang OTTR and then left with her blanket thing the guy gave her.

Overall I really really enjoyed myself. I felt so lucky that she sang Old Money and was grateful she did UATW if only because it made the show longer. I was a little sad that she didn't perform Do Right but I think OM made up for that. After this show though I think I've decided when she comes back that I am going to do whatever the equivalent of Silver VIP is. My seats have been nice for the two times I saw her but I want to try the intensity of the pit, especially since she isn't meeting after anymore and I do want to meet her eventually.

Side note, I had post concert depression approximately 5 seconds after she disappeared off the stage. It was so surreal, I just wasn't ready for it all to end even though we got a longer concert than most and longer than last year. She is just so lovely.

I said I'd swoop back in post-concert so I'd just like to gush a little. Not necessarily about the venue, mind you. I was told no camping or early arrivals but @@buster as your prophecy foretold, people arrived hella early and it was a-okay. My boyfriend and I parked a little over a mile away and walked all the way there just to get in line before parking opened. I wanna say we got there around 3pm, and we didn't get into the pit until like 7 since they took for-fucking-ever getting VIP in and opening our alleged ~fast lane~ gates. Waited for about an hour in the pit 'till the opener came on and in the meantime, I began feeling sick as hell and had to sit down for most of my wait. I'd been guzzling water the entire time, and snacked on a little something, but looking back on it now I probably didn't eat enough.

But enough of that, onward with my story....

After the initial wait was over and we actually got to hear some sick beats, it was, in one word, spectacular. As I'm sure y'all already know, Grimes opened for my date. She was joined on-stage by her two gorgeous dancers and another singer, Hana, who was doing backup vocals. I don't know what to say other than I was in awe and smiling like an idiot the entire time. Claire (Grimes' real name) had an overwhelming positive energy while putting on her portion of the show and it was downright charming. She's beyond awesome at dancing too. Couldn't take my eyes off her for a moment! As much as my poor little gay heart was looking forward to Lana, a big part of me was kinda bummed when she finished because she was just that uplifting.

It's crazy how quickly people did Lana's stage-set up, and as they revealed the cityscape and the "DEL REY" I could FEEL the stranglehold of my own excitement, haha. Everybody was so excited when she came out. As for me, I cried a little because I'm a big baby and it was my first time seeing her in person. I don't wanna say it solidified my love for her 'cause I already knew I adored her but.. something like that. It's just a special moment seeing your idol on-stage. I've only ever been able to witness videos and pictures, but this was totally different. Intimate.

Everybody was so enthusiastic. I believe it was after her first song, but she told us that we had a lot of energy. So meaningful to have her comment on that. All of us die-hards in the pit did our best to make her feel welcome and loved. Her entire performance, she gave us her absolute all. I have to say, she's better live than anywhere else, and I'm sure anyone can vouch for that statement. Footage or albums or what-have-you, they cannot compare to hearing her sing in person. The amount of talent is mind-blowing. From her first to her last song, I was like, in a trance.

I thought I'd be sad if I didn't meet her, and to an extent I am. I had a letter I REALLY wanted to get to her if nothing else. However - and I may be dreaming big on this - at one point while I was waving my envelope around like a maniac, she was on our side of the stage and I swear she made eye contact with me in a sad "I can't reach you sweetie" way, and mouthed something. "I love you," maybe? Idk. I'm a hopeful person and that's what I thought I saw. I believe that the day will come when I meet her, too.

Regardless, I'm so grateful to have been as close as I was in the first place. Not barricade, I'm pretty sure that was almost exclusively VIP people. BUT I fluctuated between 3rd and 4th row, which wasn't bad for my very first Lana experience. Especially when I wasn't forceful with anyone or anything. I had my boyfriend behind me as a buffer too, protecting me from shovers.

Unfortunately, all the strength that her graceful, godly self had shined down upon me left me as soon as she left the stage. I felt like I was going to die. We were lucky enough to get a ride back to our car from some newly-made friends so that we wouldn't have to walk. Lucky for us, seeing as I wouldn't have been able to truck through it. Not even exaggerating, I probably would've passed out. My legs were already yelling at me for my first brush with standing in a pit for several hours and dancing. My head hurt and I was suffering from extreme nausea and desire to fall into bed.

But after food, a good night's rest at our hotel, food, a safe check-out and trip back from Charlotte, and yes, more food, I'm feeling much better. Definitely able to look back on things with more fondness than before. Not that I wasn't already, just.. I WAS ILL. Anyways...

Now that the droning on and on is over, time for the goodies. I didn't get TOO much because for the most part I was enjoying myself rather than worrying with my phone, but I have some photos and videos on my Twitter. My personal favorite capture would have to be the beginning of UV, which can be seen here, and I even got a dedicated Lana account to RT it. Mostly because I thought it was pretty great audio considering my place in the pit. Video was admittedly a little shaky, but it was hard to hold my phone way up high and steady it at the same time.

Just thought I'd share the deets with anyone who might be interested. I tried not to embellish my story with any more rambling than necessary, but it's still probably really long. If you read all of it, you are a superhero and I love you.

So much fun at this show. Even though it was sweltering hot. I had silver VIP and got there at 6 am and was front row center! Even though there were a couple of people that showed up an hour before the show and tried to cut the line. Thankfully the VIP host sorted it out and moved them towards the back.

Hey guys, last time I posted the board went down, but I figured I'd post my experience at the concert anyway.

So, after debating over how I was going to camp out for Lana, I arrived at the Xfinity Center at 7am-ish. There were already a small crowd of people there, and I was marked 17th in line. It was expected to rain that day so I had an umbrella and rain gear, but luckily for me it never really rained that hard at all.

I waited until about 4-5pm when the VIP Nation people came, and the regular GA pit people were separated from the VIP ticket holders. Because I had a silver VIP ticket, I stayed with the VIPs, and was bumped up to #8! I was beyond happy, and after getting my VIP merch, waiting to go inside, I had made it the front row of the pit!! When Lana came out, I was ready to die, she was so close! I had made her a card, and when she came down during one of her first trips I managed to hold it up and catch her notice, and she took my card! She didn't do much else during this time except sign and take gifts, but that was my main goal. She ended up coming down to the pit 3(!!) times, and 2/3 times were at my side! The 2nd time she came down, I got her to sign the lyric book I had bought at the merch table, and she told me she loved me.

Overall, it was worth the wait. The concert was lovely, so much crowd interaction, and Lana seemed to get nervous at how loud and happy the crowd was to see her, she asked for a cigarette during the performance lmao (she also said we were the loudest yet, I don't know about that statement, but everyone sang along verrrrry loudly). I am beyond happy I got to meet her and to talk to her, even though I didn't get the coveted selfie, I wasn't exactly shoving my phone in her face. She got really into OTTR, and said she was thankful to the crowd for their support. Someone made her a Honeymoon sash and flower crown, but she didn't wear either of them ahah. The fans I met throughout the day were really nice, and the pit was actually quite relaxed then the previous venue I went to last year (House of Blues). It was pretty amazing.

I had a lot of fun yesterday, the show was really good (better than last year) and Grimes was amazing!

The only bad thing was the others. People were so fucking rude and disrespectful. I was in the 5-6rd row until I got pushed to the 3rd row, which is, technically, cool, but I was in a very very uncomfortable position for 20 minutes, stuck between a couple.
It was my first and last time in the pit at the Centre Bell, it's too awful.

For the record. She didn't say "you guys are so loud" she said "wow it sounds really loud out there!" And she said it pretty pleasantly with a smile. I didn't detect any sarcasm.

But the show was great. The set was short but what else is new. Her vocals were on point and I liked that there was backing vocals this time. That plus the band really put a lot more umph into the songs. I saw her last year in Montreal and this year was much better just in terms of quality. I was disappointed that she didn't play a lot of her big songs though. No national anthem, body electric, or ride.

But all in all it was a great show. Plus grimes won me over too lol

Wow!!!! Sounds amazing!!! I've been trying to find people with Gold packages to ask, but maybe you'll know some of the answers.
I'm going to the Atlanta concert June 14th, My friend and I already have VIP Pit tickets, but bought the Gold VIP Packages for early entry, plus the Silver is sold out, so Live Nation said we can still use our Pit tickets
We haven't been to a concert in years, except for the Dallas concert which didn't go as planned.
Can you give me any information on what to expect please?
Like, do we need to get there early? They said we will pick up the Gold VIP's at the venue.
What was included in the gift bag?
How soon do Gold enter the Lounge before Silver?
Do they let Gold enter the venue before Silver? (Like I said, we're still getting to use our Pit tickets even though we have assigned seats.) And if so, how soon?
If we have to use the restroom, will we be allowed back in our spots?
What was the preshow party like?
I apologize for so many questions...just really excited!!! And if you can think of anything I didn't ask, I appreciate any information.
    Thanks in advance
PS: I loved your pics on Instagram!! I'm following you now LOL!!! I'll post pics of the Atlanta concert!!

Hi everyone, I am home from the concert tonight! Here's my experience, hope this helps for future attendees lining up. BTW I had silver VIP

    Highlights
    - if you're lining up for the pit, split the regular and VIP lines early on
    - my guess is that there were around 70-90 silver VIP
    - I got a selfie with Lana! Life goal complete!!!
    - Lana accepted my gift!!!! It was a embroidered flag of a scene from Ride

Early line up for pit admission
I got there at 6am with @@Bae. I was #16 by the system made by the people that arrived first (they camped out from the day before). We had a mixed line of regular and VIP which was a mess. The venue staff came at 1pm and told all regular tickets to come out of the line, and line up in a different area. Of course everyone got up and rushed to the exit. So the regular tickets that had camped out all night were no longer in the first spots, I felt bad for them.
While lining up around noon (before the lines got split), 2 regular tickets came with their mom and tried to cut in line. Their argument was that there was empty space along the barricade, so they were entitled to bud the ~40 regular tickets and take that space. People tried to reason with them but they (mostly the mom) did not understand respect for others....
The VIP line got a little mixed up and the venue staff said that our number systems would not matter anymore. But we all agreed that we would stay in our number order, like civilized human beings.
3:30-4pm the VIP host came to give numbered wristbands. Then we could leave until 5pm to pick up the actual tickets

    Entering the Pit
We didn't get swag bags, since they will be shipped to us. Maybe this is because we're a Canadian location. Anyway I prefer this.
Then we lined up again in another area. Later the VIP host put everyone back in order, more waiting, then they lead us in single filed.
I was front row center! Just to the right of the mic and the stairs (which were in the middle of the stage). I tried to make space for myself along the barricade but every time I moved the smallest muscle, my space would shrink. Another VIP girl with number 50-ish was behind me (2nd row).

    Physical Experience in the Pit
I suggested to my neighbours that if anyone tried to get on the barricade from behind us, we would grab eachothers' arms. No one tried to get inbetween us! I was amazed. There was constant pressure on my back from the other people. A girl was kneeing me in the back of my knee, but I think it was not intentional. I ended up taking a wider stance and she ended up having a leg inbetween mine :S I'm 5'2" so I guess that was a good position for her to look right over my head.
When Lana came closer (to the steps or the other side of the barricade) the crowd would surge from sides and behind. When that happened, literally I have not felt so much force across my whole torso ever. I had a letter for Lana between me and the barricade, and I really had to fight to get the smallest gap to slide it out.
My brother who was in the second row, but ended up 3rd row said the concert felt like being in strong ocean currents.
I was holding my flag over the barricade, and a photographer came to take some photos of it. I felt very cool. He looked like Francesco but darker haired.

    My Concert Experience
Grimes- I was not into her music previously, but the energy she puts on just makes you feel like having fun. She's very entertaining, humble and spunky. She was very confident and delivered in her performance.
Lana (singing)- AMAZINGGGGG! She was gorgeous, confident, smiled a lot, really into it, vocally strong. I'm bad at remembering the set list, but no DR, UATW, YCBTB. She did the SK moan, and had that "I know you're all going to go crazy" look on her face, what a sweetie. She did come down the steps once but didn't really go towards the crowd. I don't remember her saying HM will be released in September, I heard her say "this year".
Lana (greeting fans)- She came down at the end with OTTR instrumental in the background. So I know there is a theory that she greets people on the her right side of the stairs, but she only went to her left. When she was 5 people away from me I was so nervous that she would for some reason go back or skip me (I'm skeptical and have low expectations to avoid let downs). I swear I saw her hair get caught on something, but it was quickly freed and she smiled as if we all knew that her hair was pulled last year in Toronto.
When she got to me, she looked me in the eyes and I could not say what I had rehearsed millions of times before. I think I said "I made this for you" about the flag I made. But I think I was really quiet because I was so shocked, and she couldn't hear. Also I didn't want to lean in to say it in case I got pushed forward or she likes her personal space. So we took a picture together!!!! I still cannot believe that this happened! She didn't take my gift because we had the misunderstanding. She moved on to greet others. I wasn't sure if I could give it to her so I motioned to the security guard infront of me to put my gift on the stage, but he gestured for me to give it to her (she was much further down at that point). When she came back to go up the steps again, I stuck out my flag and letter as far as I could. I think I had a crying face on at that point because I was so overwhelmed. She gave me a look of appreciation like "really, you are willing to giving this to me?" I nodded and she took it!!! Omg, what a Goddess indeed. I'm still in shock and can't believe this all happened!! I don't know how to add pictures, but you can see them on my Insta account "weekendirene"

But sadly a girl I knew from the line was taking a selfie with Lana, but because so many people were pushing, she couldn't get the photo. I feel really bad for her. And I don't understand why people in the back rows stick their arms out to take a really close up photo of Lana or take a photo of Lana and whoever she is taking a selfie with? Anyway, it was unfortunate and I just feel bad for her.

Hope you enjoyed the story of my experience!

She said it in an emotional and grateful way. I thought she was so happy, she was smiling and pointing, engaging with fans and pointing the mic to us to sing! Yes, she did move the mic stand forward, which I really felt was a sign that she liked being there.

@@Bae Adding that during Ultraviolence she came down the stairs, but stayed there with her back against the stage, which made me think she would be hesitant to come greet us (bc of the hair pulling last year, I can't get over it). Just before she went back up, she reached out and took some fan letters, but really did keep her distance.
A little later she asked her security guard to bring up a bunch of flowers and a letter from the fans on the left side. She was wavying and talking with the left side, and then she blew the kiss to you. I was so envious, thinking that she was paying more attention to the left side. But I was hopeful that she would come to the right side (against our normal theory) because she didn't collect any gift from our side yet.
I also think I'll get seats next time because being in the front I was always anxious that I would get pushed out of my spot and whether Lana will come greet me. Although it was amazing to have her singing right in front of me!
