hi DeadAgainst , whats your take on Swan Song? (if you dont mind explaining it..) nice to hear diff views on it.. (i had mentioned it may be about Lizzy and Lana talking to each other..)

Hi James, yes thats true alot.. people expect or 'want' her to be the pop star, and even tho she really is just an indie alt singer songwriter artist, that was thrown into the rocket to pop star world intially, she now is regressing back into the indie/alt artist world, where she probably should have been all along. The music is the last thing left, and the important thing, when everything else has faded away. No one on earth will remember her maybe 5 years from now..or will say she has a bad attitude and hard to work with, its probably true, but who cares.. not me.. but us, you and I and some here, will always love her music and her style of artistry. There are in fact many, many artists that came before her, and now..exactly like Lana, doing the exact same effect/vibe/songwriting/sounds/feels/emotions/esthetics,etc.. over the past and presently as well.. lots of retro vibe queens around and such..you name it, many greats. And she is one of them. Irregardless if she becomes a total reclusive, or runs for the next Prez of the USA..lol.. (in or out of the limelight) she has depressive issues and hates to perform live. She also is the not kinda woman to go and have fans meet her at events and want to pursue that kinda crap either.. quite the opposite actually.. and thats fine. yeah, put on a face and show fans love and all that for a quick few hours once in long while, but liking to do that? No. She hates fame. and she loves admiration. Like alot of us would be exactly the same. She is no longer a mystery to me. I love the alot of the music she has made, and that will stay with me forever. As far as fandoms and stans, and GP views or critics, or obsessive fans, everything is really all noise to me.. people have deranged views and fantasy's about what they want in everything in life, Lana is just a woman who is a songwriter/singer, thats it. she has alot of faults and fucks up just like we all do, nothing new there. .could give 20 fucks about any elses views.. bla bla.. all just noise. k, im ranting now.. lol.. lizzy out. didnt want to make it an essay.. lmfao..

Even with 5 songs i think basically suck, Honeymoon the album (the rest of the album), is my favorite music from Lana and her best music to date in my honest opinion and my preferences. funny thing is (for me anyway), depending on my mood, and the day, I might say something else..lol.. but today, right now, thats how i feel about it.

some stans write the most unintelligent and useless, untrue, opionated deranged rant posts lmfao at the ridiculousness.. the ones that act like they know the most, usually know the least.. its funny..

swan song is my favorite song from hm.. i just realized for me, its reminding me of another of my fav lana songs ever, . flipside.. in a vibe sorta way..

tbh she probably doesn't really care about putting it out there at this point.. HM sales and all are not doing great.. promo would have been better earlier, but, unfortunately, TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE,

Wow, i may agree with some of what you say, but Vertigo please keep posting. You have had some great posts here. I don't want to believe everything you mentioned, even its if true to a degree.. lets give her some more time.. and see what becomes..i personally have vested a ton of time in this, and dont want to see things end this way.. i mentioned before message me directly if you like and we can talk more, but it is what it is.

wow, slowish threads.. ok time for a comment.. HM has a few of the best songs from Lana, she will ever, or anyone in past present of future will ever do imho. the songs i love from HM are incredible. For me the songs I love the most are, Blackest day, Swan song, Freak. MTWBT. Im going to be so judgemental of her live performance of these..(when/if she does these live).. because i have built them up so high from the album version.. some are dark and depressing, but also amazing.. so i get some don't like it..but man, this album sounds blow me away.. beautiful recordings.

wow, that was interesting to watch. fairly recent vid too. i knew alot of this already, but didn't think it was that severe. have heard of alot of artists pissed right off at their labels. I think if you're selling well, then you are fine..

That would be a big mistake IMHO. I'd rather she take some time and make another new album in a couple years (if thats what it takes), maybe her and Frans move back to NYC for some better inspirational vibes, and see where that goes.. someone else posted these similar thoughts a few pages ago, on this or unpopular opinions maybe.. and that might be a good idea

Austin was huge, yes, i saw some of the clips! :D I couldn't believe shes blowing up so big so fast.. The things is too, she sounds so goooooood live! I think thats what alot of people dont know, when they fall in love with Badlands, and then see her live, (provided they are far back enough from the hordes of screaming maniacal fans in the first zillion rows,,to actually hear the songs,, lmfao..) Shes touring a lot, its going to get huge. the crowds are going crazy for her all over the world. there' like freaking out all over the world.. i'm sure she didn't think it would get this big.. she must be blown away..

I'd rather do my own tour for my own fans. and you never know, line ups can change too? don't know if that happens often tho.. festivals are kinda wierd i always thought..

she had an aqaintance that committed suicide. (like most of us, we all know people whom have 'offed' themselves..) As far as people talking about the hate, thats getting so old. Every artist is loved AND hated, by people. Who really cares I say? We dont need to over compensate and make up things in our minds that are not in any reality, and completely untrue. Its funny how defensive people get, and how they embilish and tell stories. This is not directed at anyone in particular, you see it everywhere. Lana has great supporters, she is not a fragile little flower crumbling in the corner at posts on lanaboards, LOL.. quite the contrary be it known. LOL. Halseys world tour expanding. Its crazy, the success she rightfully deserves and is achieving. Halsey sounds nothing like any artist out there, and is totally original in her art. Badlands is proof for anybody whom doesn't understand the Halsey vibe. Accept it, and believe it. see it for what it is. Halsey's music and album is fresh and new. She is right up there with dozens of artists i love right now. Can't wait to hear the next album from her! and its been only a few weeks since i bought this one..lol.. what are her album sales at right now anyway? anyone know? very good for a no promo, internet queen.. right out of the gates.. have to love the Badlands flag, on top of Capital records too..
