That's what I dislike, too. We don't even have a single yet, do we? Do we know the genre even??? Thing is I wouldn't mind pre-ordering this one visually, but I wanna know which genre it is at least before paying 45 EUR, lol.

If you are not looking for a fever 2.0, "Kylie Minogue" from 1994 is surely worth listening. Totally different though! And I adore her jazzy Christmas album and the Abbey Road sessions. She covered some fever songs there, too. The body language vinyl will be heavenly, can't wait. They spread her best pics over the sleeve ❤️ Webfind:

How do you know? Is this sure? I am not really acquainted with all her photo shoots, but I don't think I've ever seen a better photo shoot of her. Never found her as beautiful as on these pics.
-
True. Can't wait for her LASSO account (not meant to be used) 🤣🙈
-
Is that really an outtake? It looks SO fake! I was convinced it's an ai Pic, as it looks like an error on her cheek. Maybe bad retouch!?
-
From what I understood there are 3 versions / bonus tracks already. (manuscript, the bolter, albatross) I cannot imagine her doing less variants than for Midnights or even folklore. Why should she stop?

My favorite vinyl color is the second press of the amazon "beige" vinyl. The first press was kinda orange, and the repress was white, which looks best for the album in my eyes. Regarding the covers, I agree with the others, the blue RSD has the best cover. No idea why it's blue though, doesn't suit the album. I also like the (Spotify fans first) picture disc with the Country inspired / horse picture. So these 3 are my favorites of all I got. I only miss the crystal clear variant. (repress of the frosted clear one)

The problem is that you never know before if all variants will be available later, and her countdowns make this worse. Very true. I don't mind some variants to chose from, even though I think it would be better for climate if artists limited themselves to a few and all sold in the same shop, as we know very well how many fans will buy all. And if there are only 3, they will only buy that much. Well, the fact that she's releasing one bonus track per variant indicates at least that she actually WANTS people to buy all variants. No, she's not forcing them by holding a pistol to their heads, but I guess to many Swifties it feels like it, lol

On Facebook, several Swifties ("top fans", too) are revolting and complain about her one bonus track per vinyl.
-
That's why I'm gonna wait. Also wanna listen to it before I buy it. Was too disappointed of Midnights. And seeing all versions of Midnights and 1989 everywhere makes me think most editions will be available still at release date. And since it's a new release, they might even put up signed-art-card-editions again shortly before release date. Besides I am boycotting this "only available for 3 days" - sales strategy. We haven't got even a single yet to tell something about the album style, right?

Not too keen on any of the 4 covers, but the vinyls look fantastic on the mock ups. had to get the ruby version from fnac. Curious for the full album. Unlike many others, I also love her last albums, especially "Shakira." It's my favorite along with Laundry Service and Oral Fixation 2.

Same here. Lemonade is my favorite album by her and partly it felt a bit country, which I loved. Got big hopes for this, just hope it won't be too much dance/pop style all together... PS: I still think she's exaggerating with all this half nudity and references to sexuality in her visuals, it is constantly getting on my nerves since the music video for partition. @Veinsineon my first thought listening was Kylie's Golden, too. 😁 Looks like she was kind of a pioneer 2016 again, before everyone else went country fusion.

Minor General Questions that Don't Deserve Their Own Thread
Olympia replied to Monicker's topic in Lana Thoughts
Anyone ever came across this? Is that a preorder? Cannot find anything on discogs. https://colourvinylrecords.com/products/lana-del-rey-exclusive-colour-vinyl-paradise-on-turqoise-vinyl?_pos=6&_sid=31ea0b991&_ss=r&variant=47824712335696 Update: nevermind, found it as "blue" vinyl on discogs, it's not official -
Can't believe we didn't get a vinyl for it, lol
-
I might order a vinyl but I'm gonna wait until release date to see if they have better bundles available then. I don't like the signed CD is US exclusive only, so if you live outside US, you need to add a cassette to get it 🙄 besides there are 3 bonus tracks on the standard vinyl and 3 other tracks on the three alternate vinyls. I only really want that signed art card because I just adore this Norman Bates cover 🤭😂❤️ hope it won't be sold out in release week.
-
Do we know if there are more Lana features on the album maybe? I actually like "modern girl" and another track, thinking about getting a copy. The standard cover looks really cool, would prefer to get this cover. However, these vinyl colors of the alternate versions look really amazing Btw, does anyone else thinks that Jack looks a bit like Anthony Perkins/Norman Bates in Hitchcock's Psycho on this pic? 😂❤️
-
Where did you find it? So this is another version of the album, and the only difference is that it features Lana on the cover Pic? Update: ok, finally understood it. These alternate vinyl covers (without Lana on it) in their shop include another track called "alma mater the day it was written". https://store.dirtyhit.co.uk/bleachers

Grammy Awards 2024 - Lana Del Rey Nominated for 5 Awards
Olympia replied to Elle's topic in Awards & Nominations
This is so true. I'm kinda shocked still how much this award show proved that no one needs these awards. I hope of they ever invite her again, she'll just reply "if you want some basic bitch, go to the Beverly center and find her." They just don't deserve her. Anyone knows what important critics said about Taylor's Midnights? I got the vinyl back then because I loved Folklore and Evermore. However, I listened to Midnights three times and then I was done with it. It didn't strike me to be the same quality as Folklore, and surely not the same quality as Tunnel... I was and am still really shocked it won over Lana's masterpiece. Well, maybe it's just like it was for Hitchcock, maybe never winning despite of nominations proves the highest quality...
