  1. Because of that ⬆️ I don't believe that DBJAG was recorded in 2019. She just used the Bird Word sample. They could've created the whole melody of the song in 2019 but Lana def wrote lyrics in 2020
  2. Is Honeymouns still sure about that For Free is a NFR scrap? Because I remember Jack talking about For Free in an interview from 2021: "I remember watching Lana play [Joni Mitchell’s] “For Free” with Zella Day and Weyes Blood — this completely remarkable moment at the Hollywood Bowl [in 2019] — and her being like, “Let’s put this on the record!” Like, holy shit! Of course! How could it not go on the record? That slipping of time — different generations of singers, playing songs of older artists they love at the Hollywood Bowl — of course that goes on [Chemtrails Over the Country Club]."
  3. I unironically love Boom Like That. It's one of my favorite Lana unreleased songs. Probably because I used to listen to that kind of music as a kid and it makes me nostalgic every time I listen to it.
  4. Bowie died in January 2016. Even if she and Rick had already created Terrence Loves You, it can still be reworked by an other producer. For example, in January, this year, BOZ the insider said that when Lana met Dan Auerbach, he reworked Guns & Roses and Pretty When You Cry too but Lana released the early versions of the songs on the album made by Rick Nowels and Blake Stranathan respectively.
  5. We don't know anything about the recording dates for Honeymoon era songs but as @Unknown said, Terrence Loves You was part of early 2015 Honeymoon sessions. But besides those articles I posted here, we don't know anything about Mark Ronson demos and work for Honeymoon. PS! If you want to mention or tag someone, you can reply to someone by using the "Quote" button or tag someone using "@". For example, like @Dior.
  6. No, Mark Ronson worked for Honeymoon. From Lana Del Rey Wikia: Later, in an interview with Grazia in December 2014, Del Rey talked about working with Mark Ronson, acclaimed pop record producer who worked notably with Amy Winehouse on "Valerie", saying "I played him [Mark Ronson] ten songs that I have composed for this next album. Not so much that he added his usual signature, soul and funk. But rather it explores a sound close to the golden age of jazz". In April 2015, Ronson confirmed he was in the process of recording songs with Del Rey in L.A, saying "I'm going to do some recording with Lana Del Rey today and tomorrow. I found this cool old studio out here. [...] She has some songs and I said I had some demo ideas, and if they are any good, then maybe she'll like them and we'll go from there." On August 25, 2015, it was revealed that Ronson would not be involved with Del Rey's album after all. Ronson explained, "I hate to crap all over your excitement, but we just worked a couple days together and I think she's amazing, but we didn't actually end up doing anything for her album." He added, "I said it and I shouldn't have opened my big mouth, but I love that track 'Honeymoon' and the stuff I've heard from the record is great."
  7. Hey @Unknown Was Beautiful People demo a Honeymoon outtake? Was it ever considered in HM's tracklist? Also how much do you know about Honeymoon era Mark Ronson or Dan Heath outtakes/demos? + Do you know, how many songs she recorded for Honeymoon? And are there any specific HM era demos that are different from the ones that were released on the album? Thank you for answering! :-)
  8. Omg I love this, I realised that with Ocean Boulevard's songs, it's a lot easier and better to make those tracklists since the album's lyrics are wordy
  9. It was meant for Honeymoon but was scrapped. Unknown confirmed it. If I'm not wrong, they were the one to say that it's not a LFL outtake too.
  10. Maybe Violet is her? Maybe Violet is Lizzy? Because when it was revealed that Terrence Loves You alternate title was "Violet Sings The Blues". She was blonde when she was Lizzy Grant and she dyed her hair black when she was already Lana Del Rey. Maybe it was Lizzy who bent backwards over the grass. (Maybe Violet will be her future stage name, if she wants to change it - but I hope not, I'm not one of those name-change believers)
  11. I love it so much, it's my top 5 Lana album. It's so sad that it gets that much hate. The album sounds so serene and it's actually very diverse. There are beatsy tracks, ballad-y tracks, folky tracks, dreamy/vibey tracks. I love the production very much, Jack isn't my favorite producer but he is my favorite musician. He balanced the album's sounds well, he can play an instrument amazingly, especially in White Dress. Also I love the detailed sounds in COTCC song. I love the lyrics too, they're introspective and diaristic but they're also like a dialogue from an old movie but also a stunning scenery from a movie or like a beautifully written description of a place from a book. I also loved how she sampled Is It Wrong's chorus in Dancing Till We Die bridge. The whole album channelled Lizzy, especially May Jailer. NFR - Violet Bent Backwards - COTCC was a great trilogy, not gonna lie! 💐

    Taylor Swift

I feel like she'll add more dates in the future because the tickets will be sold out fast asf 😭 Also manifesting an Eurovision surprise appearence since it takes place in Sweden around mid-May 2024if Madonna and Justin Timberlake have done it, she can do it too
  13. @lanaismamom hey, idk if it's necessary but you should add Sunshine to the Ocean Boulevard section in OP. Didn't Rob say that they made Sunshine for Ocean Blvd?
  14. I don't know if any of you have discussed that but like 4 years ago I saw some people talking about it on YouTube that Lana sampled Princess Chelsea's No Church On Sunday in Heroin! (it's kind of a subtle sample like how she sampled The Beatles in West Coast) And I listened to the album where No Church On Sunday is from, called The Great Cybernetic Depression (released in 2015) and the album's songs have the same spacey cosmic electronic ambient vibes as the so-called "original concept of Lust For Life", similar to the songs like Heroin, Lust For Life demo, If I Die Young (I know that it's a Honeymoon outtake). Although The Great Cybernetic Depression is a lot more quirkier (it's kinda like if early era Marina Diamandis made the original concept of LFL herself or something like that). But I can see that Lana was definitely inspired from that album when she sampled for Heroin! Also I have read some theories on No Church On Sunday song, that it talks about her brother's drug overdose (although I don't think so because I think that it's a misheard lyric), but it would connect this song and Heroin a lot more.
  15. I remember when Doin' Time was released, I listened to it in YT and one of the fans posted the lyrics in the comments and they wrote wrong lyrics because they misheard the first line as "Summertime and eleven zz" Also when I heard Born To Die song for the first time in 2012, I believed for 5 years that the lyrics were: "Your lucky girls are insane" And when I heard Love for the first time, I thought she sang: "Look at your kiss with your vintage music". And I cringed so hard and thought that girl's gone too far with her vintage obsession I also though that in Blue Banisters she sang: "There's a picture on the wall, of me and John Deere" (I thought that John Deere is an American writer or something, not a tractor )
  16. I never listen to albums as standards, sorry. I can't imagine listening to UV without Is This Happiness for me full album is an album with all tracks, I don't care if it's a deluxe or bonus track.
  17. I remember when Lana dated Chase Stogel, a fan commented on his then latest Insta post (from Summer 2019) that "tell Lana to drink again, so she could write UV 2.0". As a fan, it was so embarrassing to read, like wtf, I literally wanted to bleach my eyes reading this and wanted to just leave Insta so I wouldn't see embarrassing toxic shit such as this again 🤮 I think she started dating Evan in 2022 because in October 2022 they were together watching a football match and Evan hold her hands or something. But whatever tho.
  18. Yeah but the timeline of the non-outtake songs are still unknown/messy. We have Gabe Simon songs, Zach Dawes songs, Mike Dean song and Drew Erickson songs. We don't know about the album's outtakes either, besides Loved You Now And Then/Rock Candy Sweet.
  19. Banisters definitely needs a one because it had an original concept Rock Candy Sweet and scrapped it when she met Erickson or something
  20. You can hear Emile inspired space train/owl sounds in White Mustang and When The World... too! I think it was intentional!

    Lorde

Her new Insta stories are probably some easter eggs about her new music? Can't wait, I was one of those few people who loved Solar Power. She's performing at many festivals this Summer too! 💛
  22. I think that the last song (or one of the last) recorded for COTCC was Dark But Just A Game, because she said in an interview for MOJO (in 2021) that the Oscars 2020 Afterparty inspired her to write that song: "A year or so ago, Del Rey attended a party with Jack Antonoff and St. Vincent at the house of Guy Oseary, manager of Madonna and U2. “Something happened,” she says, “kind of a situation like – never meet your idols. And I just thought, ‘I think it’s interesting that the best musicians end up in such terrible places.’ I thought to myself, ‘I’m going to try my best not to change because I love who I am.’ I said, ‘Jack, it’s dark.’ And he said, ‘Well, it’s dark – but I mean, it’s just a game.’” The incident inspires a song on Chemtrails - Dark But Just A Game" Although we know that the song samples Bird World too, but I still think it's the last song recorded for the album because the afterparty was on Feb 9th, 2020 and quite soon after that quarantine happened. If I'm not wrong, other COTCC songs (except Yosemite, which was recorded in 2016-2017) were recorded during the NFR Tour (like the Nikki and Zella, Weyes collabs and Dance Till We Die, White Dress?) and other songs were recorded during the NFR sessions or after the release of NFR (Not All Who Wander, COTCC, Wild At Heart, Tulsa Jesus Freak, Let Me Love You). She could've changed the songs during the quarantine and after the Sean breakup, who knows.
